The Top Family-Friendly Hotels in Paris
Make sure you look at the list of bolded points below the hotel photo to see the key attributes of each hotel! Personally, I often choose apartment rentals when traveling with kids in a city. I like having the kitchen and washer along with common spaces for the kids to play in. (Remember, while European apartments often have a washing machine, they rarely have dryers and hang clothes to dry.)
What makes a hotel family friendly?
- They’re marketed as kid friendly with specific perks, activities, and amenities for kids
- Some sort of common outdoor space for kids to stretch their legs or near a big park
- Ideally, a pool where kids can blow off some steam
- Slightly larger rooms
- Pull-out couches
- Kitchenette for making quick food
- Two queen bedrooms
- Low-cost suites

Hotel Les Deux Girafes
€€ | 4 Star | Fun Courtyard | Spacious Rooms | Nearby Playground
I really like this hotel as a family-friendly hotel or for a romantic trip with your partner. The interior courtyard really takes you away from the big city feel, which is important for me.
Also, the name translates to the “Hotel of Two Giraffes” which is the theme of the hotel including a contemporary Giraffe sculpture in the courtyard. It is a designer hotel which also makes it appealing to parents.
The only negative is it is not too close to any large green spaces, but Square Maurice Gardette has a swing-set and playground which is ideal for kids. I love letting my kids interact with local kids to see how they figure out how to communicate.
Roi de Sicile – Rivoli Luxury Apartment Hotel
€€€ | 4 Star | 4th Arr. | Luxury Apartments | Fully Serviced
I referred to the above hotel as number 1 or 2 only because this “apartment” hotel exists which makes choosing difficult. Roi de Sicile-Rivoli Apartments wins first place in terms of where I “want” to stay but the price makes it a more difficult decision.
The hotel is fits into the “obtainable” category but is just a bit too expensive to be “reasonable” which is why it’s not first on my list. That said, it is a tremendous value. The apartments are spacious and serviced like hotel suites. They are also beautifully designed and in a great area. If you have the 300€+ per night to stay here, please do!
Shangri-La Hotel Paris
€€€€+ | 5 Star | 16th Arr. | Classic Luxury | Indoor Pool
The Shangri-La is such an amazing property that focuses on an extremely wealthy and affluent clientele. They have these incredible spaces that have the same enormous feel as a Las Vegas casino without the annoying sounds of slot machines.
The rooms & suites are extremely difficult to match. They have one of the most expensive suites in all of Paris which is larger than most people’s houses.

Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower
€€€ | 4 Star | Lots of Common Spaces | Champ de Mars / Eiffel Tower
You don’t “need” a lot of common spaces in your hotel, but traveling is no always about necessity. One could also argue that you do need common spaces when traveling with children. Kids love to run around and climb on things which makes a large lobby, courtyard, and game room important.
Pullman Paris is what you would expect from a big hotel They have lots of room and amenities which can make things easier when you are traveling with children. Smaller hotels may not have 24/7 assistance which is not a big deal when traveling with adults but kids tend to wet the bed at the most unfortunate times. Getting new sheets at 2am can be the key to getting some sleep before your Louvre tour!
Also, this hotel has a massive courtyard with plants and gardens. They grow many of their own vegetables and even keep honey bees.
Hotel Eiffel Blomet
€€ | 4 Star | 15th Arr. | Indoor Pool
This is an incredible find for its location, price, and value. The indoor pool is most definitely built and design for health-conscious travelers who want to get their morning laps in but works perfectly well for children.
Beyond that, the price is extremely low for a 4 star hotel in the center of Paris with its caliber of reviews. I highly recommend this hotel for the budget conscious traveler who wants to get a lot from there money.
Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris
€€€€+ | 5 Star Lux | 8th Arr. | It’s the 4 Seasons.. | Indoor Pool
I can honestly say I have never stayed at a Four Seasons in my lifetime but I have worked with their brand in the past and have most definitely visited their properties. It is hard to describe the sensation you get on-premises, but it could be loosely described as perfect.
They always have these perfect floral displays all over the hotel, amazing design, and beautiful furniture. These are some of the reasons why they can charge over a grand per night.
The George V property in Paris is one of the Four Seasons’ most amazing hotels as well. It has enormous dining facilities with tall ceilings, an incredible pool, and everything else that you may not have realized you wanted.
What I believe makes a great hotel for families is simply how much space there is to roam around. Kids and cramped quarters is a recipe for stress. When there is room to roam around, things become more fun. Is that worth $1000/night? That is up to you!
Les Jardins de Mademoiselle
€€€ | 4 Star | 15th Arr. | Trendy | Indoor Pool
Les Jardins de Mademoiselle is a cool hotel in the 15th arrondissement of Paris which is relatively close to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars.
Unlike staying at the Ritz or Four Seasons, this hotel won’t cost you an arm and a leg and it has a nice indoor pool for your kids to swim in. It is not massive, but could possibly be large enough to do laps in. You may just have to do more than usual.
The hotel is pretty large with many common spaces to run around. It also has many different room typologies so you can book a double, triple, or larger room in advance. Family-friendly hotels should have ample room sizes which is especially important in Paris.
Marais Saint Paul Ecouffes Apartment
Entire Apartment | Kitchen & Washing Machine | 1 Bedroom
This apartment is in a great location. Right in La Marais which is filled with places to eat and drink. You are walking distance from Paris’ two islands and lots of pedestrian areas. A few smaller parks like Place des Vosges nearby.
Novotel Tour Eiffel Hotel
€€€ | 4 Star | Pool | Spacious Rooms | Champ de Mars / Eiffel Tower
Novotel is a large 4 star hotel near to the Eiffel Tower. While the Eiffel Tower is a top destination, this Hotel is definitely on the edge of Paris’ tourist center which is not always a bad thing.
It is located close to the Eiffel Tower and an RER station that takes you to Versailles by train, which is convenient. The Novotel is also relatively close to Bois de Boulogne park—just 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by taxi. This park is massive and could easily occupy you and your kids for a half-day if not longer.

Hotel Monte Cristo
€€€ | 4 Star | 5th Arr. | Exotic | Indoor Pool
Hotel Monte Cristo has a really cool middle-eastern vibe to it which makes it fun to stay at. The price is actually very good considering its central location, central style, and great reviews.
The hotel pool is likely large enough to do laps and also has a romantic setting which is the best of both worlds. The hotel location is central but not reasonably within walking distance to the Seine.
This location is right on the edge of the Latin Quarter which is full of great bars, restaurants, and things to do at night. It is also located to a few well-connected metro stations which can get you to the Eiffel Tower or other monuments.
Lion D’Or Louvre Hotel & Residence
€€ | 3 Star | Louvre & Tuileries Gardens | Spacious Rooms
I really like this location because the price is low and it is across the street from Tuileries Gardens which is a huge outdoor green space for kids to run around in peace. For me, being close to a green-space for kids to unwind is a key factor in being a great family-friendly hotel in any city but especially in Paris.
You are also nearby the Seine river which as a mostly pedestrian platform you can walk along. There are some bikes and things buzzing by, but a huge upgrade from the busy streets of Paris.
If you want a larger room, be sure to select something above the standard room typology.
Hotel Louvre Saint-Honoré
€€€ | 4 Star | Louvre & Tuileries Gardens | Spacious Rooms
Very similar to the above listing, this hotel is right next to the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens which again provide lots of space to run around. You can also take your kids to Le Marais at night which is close by and has great low-key restaurants for kids.
Also like above, it is on the Seine river which provides more pedestrian spaces that allow parents to relax a bit.
If you want a larger room, be sure to select something above the standard room typology.
Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche
€€ | 4 Star | Luxembourg Gardens
This hotel appears to be a really good value that could work. It doesn’t have larger rooms and doesn’t expect pull-out couches. That said, it doesn’t appear to be pretentious and it is right near Luxembourg Gardens which is a fantastic place to run around.
It also has really great prices which gives you some wiggle room to select a more spacious room.
