5 Star | 6th arr. | 17th Century Mansion | Jazz Bar | English Breakfast | Notre Dame Cathedral

Located just 0.7 miles from the Musée d’Orsay, this luxurious hotel is set in a beautifully restored 17th-century private mansion right in the heart of the Latin Quarter.

The guest rooms are stunning, featuring original beams, antique furnishings, and a gorgeous Burgundy stone fireplace. I even had the chance to stay in a suite with a four-poster bed and lovely views of the tranquil courtyard.

Every morning, I kicked off my day with a full English breakfast in the refined breakfast room, which was a perfect way to fuel up. After a day of exploring, it was so nice to unwind with a drink at the hotel’s jazz bar, Café Laurent.

4 Star | 9th arr. | Opera Garnier | Moulin Rouge | The Louvre | Place Vendôme

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, originally known as the “Hotel Ambassador,” and it truly exceeded my expectations. Built in 1927, it’s perfectly situated on Boulevard Haussmann, right in the vibrant heart of Paris’ cultural and shopping district.

I loved how easy it was to explore iconic sights—Opera Garnier, Place Vendôme, Moulin Rouge, and the Louvre Museum are all nearby. Plus, the Musée d’Orsay is only 1.1 miles down the road.

The hotel’s design is simply stunning. The mix of the authentic Haussmann facade with chic, contemporary furnishings creates such a sophisticated atmosphere, all while paying homage to the nearby Opera Garnier.

Dining here is a treat, too. The Sixtine Brasserie and Lindbergh Bar offer delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it super convenient to enjoy great meals without having to wander far.

The Best Low-Cost Hotels in Paris

Finding affordable accommodation in Paris can be challenging, as the definition of “affordable” varies from person to person. However, there are several clean, budget-friendly hotels worth considering, and this is the list I turn to when I visit the City of Light. I won’t recommend subpar hotels that tend to be the cheapest, as my experiences at places around $150 per night have often been disappointing. While there are no guarantees, checking reviews can provide valuable insights into a hotel’s quality. Although this selection of low-cost hotels may be slightly pricier than you anticipate, the comfort and overall experience will definitely be worth it.

Low-Cost Prices

Hotel rates can fluctuate frequently, but you can generally expect standard room prices to range from $175 to $249 per night, with premium suites costing more. For the latest pricing and availability, be sure to check Booking.com for current options.
