50 Kalo is most definitely the real deal when it comes to pizza in London because the owners and staff are almost all from Italy. I walked into this restaurant because we were staying at the hotel club quarters next door, which, by the way, we found very reasonably priced!
When I realized almost everyone inside the restaurant was Italian, I knew we were in for a treat and I was right. The pizza here is delicious and reasonably priced. 50 Kalo is a bit of a hike from Buckingham palace in Trafalgar Square, but worth the walk or tube ride.
A great spot to start the day, Crumpets is a lovely little café right at the corner of Petty France and Buckingham Gate. Their freshly-roasted coffee and baked pastries are just the thing to get you ready for your tour of Buckingham palace, or a leisurely stroll through St. James’s Park.
