For starters, we recommend the artichoke chilli fry, which consists of artichoke hearts tossed with yogurt, green chillies and curry leaves. Their Kori Gassa, chicken cooked in fresh coconut, is tender and delicious, and is an excellent choice for entrée. It’s also a great place for vegetarians: try the chickepea masala!

Just down the street from the Laughing Halibut, is one of the best restaurants near Buckingham palace for Italian cuisine. Even better, it’s surprisingly cheap for the quality of food. With a cozy interior that looks out at the bustling Great Peter Street, Mio offers a great authentic selection.
What we like about Mio is that it keeps things simple, specializing in Pizza and Pasta. For about £10.00, you can get a freshly baked 13’’ pizza, covered with For Di Latte mozzarella and San Marzano sauce imported directly from Italy. If you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, the tortellini is a great fresh ricotta-stuffed choice.

Their selection of cured fish is really their specialty. Corvina paired with truffles and ponzu sauce, and the Salmon tacos should be enough for one.
