There are even hotels that offer certain amenities that cater to kids. And of course, those hotels also offer the right amount of space when traveling with more than two people.

Our favorite kid-friendly hotels are found throughout the city from Midtown to Brooklyn. Some are located quite close to your favorite attractions too. Start planning your trip today and trust that you’ll find one of the best family-friendly hotels in New York City to stay in.

$$$ | 4 Star | Family-Friendly Amenities | Babysitting Service

You’ll find Mr. C Seaport located on the quaint cobbled streets in Downtown’s South Street Seaport neighborhood. It’s near the popular Pier 17 known for its rooftop summer concerts and close enough to the Brooklyn Bridge for some killer views.

Speaking of, you’ll be able to see the famous bridge and the East River from many of the rooms and suites. The hotel also offers corner suites if you’re looking for a quieter space during your stay.

As for the little ones, Mr. C Seaport has exclusive “Little C” amenities targeting the kids. Staff provides a plush teddy bear and cookies upon arrival, along with an in-room kids dining menu, and coloring books. There are even discounts for children to some of the area’s local attractions. And there’s a babysitting service for when the adults need their own night out.

TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square / Midtown

$$ | 4 Star | Spacious Rooms | Great Location

The location is key here at the TRYP in Times Square. It’s right in the middle of Midtown and Times Square making it super close to Madison Square Garden for attending concerts and sporting events—plus Penn Station for easy commuting.

Inside the hotel, you’ll find its restaurant, Gastro Bar at 35th, which is cool and casual with lots of space to spread out and eat. There’s also the super colorful loft-style social hub where you can hang with other travelers and their kids.

There have been mixed reviews about the quality of this hotel, but in general, most family rooms are pretty spacious at a decent price for Midtown, which is ideal for families.

Some have a kitchen, living area with refrigerator, and bunk beds along with private bedrooms that have their own workstations—just in case can’t skip that project deadline. Other rooms have their own exercise rooms equipped with workout equipment and gear along along with a home theater.

$ | 3 Star | Bunk Beds | Funky Rooms

If you’re planning to take the kids to a Broadway show, you’ll likely want to stay at Room Mate Grace. It’s right next to Times Square and Rockefeller Center, so it’s the perfect location when you’re looking to experience the area to the fullest.

A daily continental buffet breakfast that is served until noon is great for those late sleepers—or those teenagers who have a hard time getting out of bed. There’s an indoor pool where the kiddos can hang out until 5 pm. After that, it’s adults-only with a swim-up bar to sip on mojitos.

The hotel has spacious rooms and ones that accommodate the odd-numbered group, ahem, a family of three. Rooms can come with bunk beds and are all decked out in funky decor so the kids will never be bored. The ultimate takeaway: There’s a lot to offer here without overpaying to get it.

$$$ | 5 Star | 2-Room Suites | Connecting Rooms

The Conrad New York Downtown is less than a 10-minute walk to the One World Trade Center and offers great views of the Hudson River. The hotel has some pretty spacious suites where you’ll score a separate bedroom and living space, and there’s an option for connecting rooms if needed.

You can even connect to a 2- or 3-bedroom suite. The 2-room suites provide the most space with a living area that has a sofa and chair, and a separate master bedroom.

Situated high on the 16th floor, you’ll find the seasonal Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar with views of the Statue of Liberty. You may not want to take the kids there, but the ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant is a great alternative. It’s nice without being too fancy and serves a wide range of international cuisine that will surely please any picky eater.

Smyth Tribeca is probably one of the best hotels for families because of the space it offers. This all-suite hotel has spaces that reach 1,200-square-feet and is equipped with an 800-square-foot private outdoor terrace.

But besides all this space, there is also a kid’s camp! The kids nab a special gift when they arrive while the whole family can enjoy the in-room fondue set for s’mores.

The Chambers Street subway station is right by the hotel so getting around is a breeze. One World Observatory and Ground Zero is also less than ten minutes away and Times Square isn’t too far by subway or car. You’re close enough to it all without being on top of the chaos, which always makes for a relaxing family stay.

The rooftop skating rink is fun during the winter season and the Mister Dips 1974 Airstream trailer is ideal for the warmer months when you’re craving burgers and fries outside.

And you can always enjoy soaking up the sun at the hotel’s very own 15,000 square foot public outdoor park. If pools are your thing, don’t miss our favorite hotels with pools around NYC.
