 We recommend sitting in one of the most amazing terraces of Barcelona, the Terraza Miramar. In this restaurant in Montjuïc, you will enjoy local cuisine, such as a wide variety of rice and tapas, while observing one of the best views of the city. Besides the restaurant, you can also go only for drinks while sitting at the top of Barcelona!

Restaurant Barceloneta

This is considered one of the most classic restaurants of the city of Barcelona. Here, you will find one of the top maritime cuisines of this city alongside a beautiful view of the neighborhood of Barceloneta and of the luxury harbor of “el Moll de la Fusta”.

Xiringuito l’Escribà

L’Escribà’s restaurant structure was designed and built for the 1992 Olympic Games celebrated in Barcelona. The Olympics restructured parts of Barcelona and opened a new boardwalk for its citizens and visitors, where this restaurant sits now.

At l’Escribà, you will have lunch or dinner right in front of the beach, while enjoying one of the best rices and paella in the city.

This tavern is located less than a 10-minute walk from Sagrada Familia. La Cantina Mexicana

La Cantina Mexicana is right next to Sagrada Familia. This restaurant has a very welcoming environment and the food served is traditional Mexican food. Food is tasty and plentiful, so you will not leave this place hungry. 

El Rincón de la Abuela Venezolana

On the opposite site of Passeig de Gràcia, you will find this local restaurant. La Muscleria specializes in seafood and offers a wide range of maritime dishes. If you happen to go for lunch, you will also find economical dinner menus that will also make you taste the most typical seafood dishes of Barcelona as well as from Spain.

Muscleria in Catalan means “the place where mussels grow,” so if you decide to go to this restaurant, you should taste the local specialities of mussels, like vapor-cooked mussels or with a variety of sauces.

This bar-restaurant lies in the heart of the neighborhood of Raval. La Candela, which means “candle” in Spanish, is a family-run restaurant that offers a wide range of meals, from small portions or tapas, to lunch and dinner menus. It is located in one of the most centric areas of Barcelona and is very close to touristic places such as las Ramblas or Liceu.

In this establishment, you can sit both inside or in its terrace, which faces a small and quite square of Raval, where the new film library of Barcelona has been built. This bar has been working in this neighborhood for almost twenty years, and its chefs offer a wide range of Spanish and Catalan meals, as well as special cocktails. This bar also offers one of the best quality-price services of the city centre of Barcelona.

Fabrica Moritz

Fabrica Mortiz is an impressive space in the city centre of Barcelona. This bar-restaurant was recently refurbished by the beer company of Barcelona, Moritz. This space was recovered in 2011 by the beer company and was where the first Moritz brewing factory was built.

Nowadays besides seeing old beer brewing machines alongside a modernized and trendy environment, you will also enjoy unique beers produced by this brand. Food is also an excellent choice, since its chef, Jordi Vilà, has earned a Michelin Star.

Can Culleretes

Address: Carrer d’en Quintana, 5, 08002 Barcelona

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 1:30PM–4:00PM/8:00PM–10:45PM, Saturday: 1:00PM-4:00PM, Sunday: Closed

Can Culleretes is considered the first restaurant to open in Barcelona during the 18th century, and since then, it has provided happy meals to hungry visitors.

The interior rooms of this restaurant are almost like a museum, with pictures of famous visitors and historical paintings of the city of Barcelona hanging on its walls. This restaurant offers the most local and original cuisine of Barcelona at very reasonable prices, and although it’s generally busy, you will always find a free table.

One of the most internationally recognized Spanish chefs is Ferran Adrià. After closing his Michelin-starred restaurant el Bulli, this chef has been working on different projects like Tickets. This restaurant was born from Adrià’s ideas of making of tapas something innovative and different.
