Monastero Santa Rosa is a high-end hotel located in a historical convent, which also offers a spa and a dining service open to the public. All the fish dishes are worth trying here. They’re creatively prepared and come with a serving of veggies from the garden. If you’re a fan of raw fish, try the sea bass tartare tossed with pineapple and lemon with a yogurt sauce.

If you like trekking and discovering local spots, this restaurant is great. You’ll find a warm family-like atmosphere. The structure has 10 rooms for accommodation and the restaurant can host up to 20 people. So, definitely book your table before you head up the hill.

The dishes are made with ingredients from the garden and according to old recepies. You’ll even have the chance to try homemade pasta, a tradition that is harder and harder to maintain in regular restaurants.

For risotto lovers, I recommend the seafood risotto with shrimp, scampi, mussels, and clams. Rada (Positano)

This establishment seems like it’s growing out of the rocks on a cliff. From this position, it’s impossible not to enjoy amazing views overlooking the Mediterrean Sea. Grab a seat by the beach and get ready for a wonderful meal.

Like many restaurants you’ll find here, their specialty is seafood. My recommendation is to try the crudo misto or “mixed raw”—you’ll be in for a special treat with raw oysters, clams, shrimp and whatever else is fresh. Then, go with either a seafood pasta or a whole baked fish. Wash it all down with a cold white wine—you’re on the Amalfi Coast!

Il Pirata (Praiano)

I’ve had lunch and dinner here, and both times were exceptional. They have a terrace right on the water, so you can eat floating on the sea! If you’d prefer to come just for drinks or aperitivo, that’s ok as well. They have a lounge bar set in a cave!

To eat, start with a sauté of mussels in white wine sauce. Then, I highly recommend the linguine with crab. If you still have room, go with any of their choice fish options cooked in the oven.

They have a remarkable wine list with many superb local wines. This is the perfect spot to come and enjoy seafood accompanied by the calming sounds of the sea.

Pescheria Le Botteghe (Capri)

This is one of the more exciting restaurants in Capri, in my opinion. In the morning, the fresh fish arrives, which yhey sell the fish at the counter for you to bring home and cook. After 7pm, however, the establishment transforms into a great place to enjoy drinks or a meal or both!

Make sure you book in advance, as they get extremely busy. You can come in for an aperitivo or ceviche. Sit down and have a delicious plate of pasta with seafood. The quality to price ratio is hard to beat.

La Taverna Del Leone (Positano)

This restaurant is a bit out of the way, but it’s where you’ll find more locals. The food is great and this family-run restaurant has been around since the 1960s. Still going strong, I think they’ll be around for a very long time.

When you come here to eat, you’ll immediately feel like you’re part of the family. The dishes they make are traditional Italian cuisine. All dishes are beautifully presented and delicious, making this is one of the best restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Rossellinis (Ravello)

Situated inside the 5-star Palazzo Avino Hotel, their Michelin star speaks volumes. This restaurant is not in the center of town and requires a bit of a drive, but it’s well worth it! They’ll usually offer a shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off if you are staying in the general Amalfi area, so make sure you take advantage of that to enjoy a meal here.

While the restaurant is not cheap, this is the place to splurge if you can. They offer a tasting menu for €90 (excluding wine) with varied dishes such as beef carpaccio, squid and potatoes, and fish soup. Enjoy a local wine from Amalfi and say cheers to the beautiful views.

The menu changes often and their wine selection is vast. Don’t be shy to ask them for help choosing the perfect wint to pair with your meal.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, the dining experience at Ristorante Museo Caruso is in large part a celebration of Italian opera singer Caruso. It may not be for everyone, but it has a very special feel to it. The walls of the elegant dining room are lined with photos of the singer and your meal will be accompanied by his music. It’s quite the experience!

Adamo e Eva is a restaurant located inside the Eden Roc hotel. It’s a bit higher up along the coast, which means that the views are breathtaking. As you can see from the picture above, there really doesn’t exist a better view of the wide blue sea. Did I mention that the food is amazing as well?

Their specialty is seafood and I highly recommend the pasta with lobster. You can also try red shrimp with burrata, which melts in your mouth. Of course, to wash it down, there’s a chilled bottle of white wine with your name on it!

Sensi Restaurant (Amalfi)

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the best restaurant in Ravello. While I know that the “best” depends on many factors, Il Flauto has it all. From impeccable service to amazing views, an extensive wine list, and delicious food, what more could you ask for? As expected, it will be heavy on the wallet, but sometimes you just need to splurge. And this is a worthy place to do it.

The restaurant is in the Villa Cimbrone hotel, which is part of a park from the Middle Ages. The cuisine, however, is modern and you’ll find pasta, fish, and truffles of all sorts. Enjoy a nice bottle of wine overlooking the sea and take in the moment. Satisfied, you’llappreciate why this is one of the best restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.
