Amazing Tour

I don't usually leave reviews but feel compelled to do so now. We took this tour a few days ago and it was nothing short of amazing. Our tour guide (forgot her name) was very informative and passionate about this area and about sharing the history of this beautiful country. My husbands hearing aid charger was lost during our trip over from the USA but the Tour Guy uses a Whisper hearing device for their customers which was a tremendous help so he and all the people on the tour could hear the guide with no problem. We highly recommend the Tour Guy and will definitely use the them again.

I was worried about taking such a long day trip from Rome, but shouldn't have. The Amalfi Coast was beautiful. We stopped several times - with our driver taking photos of the family (including selfies!). He even bought us granitas from a roadside stand! Pompeii was the height of our trip to Italy for my 14 and 11 yr old children and the tour guide did a fantastic job of engaging them. Highly recommend!

Need more time in Pompeii, less in Sorrento

The tour of the archaeological site was great. The tour guid was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. However, he needs to slow down! He walked too fast between stops, especially at the end, we practically had to run back to the entrance. I would prefer we take some of the time we spent in Sorrento and allow more time at the archaeological site instead.

Wow! This was a phenomenal addition to our trip. Mario was friendly and knowledgeable as he led our group. Sasha was a powerhouse of knowledge about Pompeii. He really made the visit come alive! Visiting Sorrento was an added bonus and Mario's lunch recommendation was spot on. Highly recommend this trip!

This experience was amazing! With any other guide, the trip would have been uninteresting, but Sasha did a great job connecting with all of us. Everything he taught us in the beginning was applicable throughout the tour. As a teacher, his teacher skills kept me interested in the tour. If you are able, definitely make sure you go with Sasha to Pompeii. In addition, the bus ride was smooth, and the tour operators on the bus were phenomenal as well. Overall I thought this trip was a 10 out of 10! My 11-year-old loved it too!
Great day

Driver Stefano and Pompeii guide GianLuca were both great. Pompeii is so huge, and signage is limited--this is the best way to get alot out of the visit. The pop over to Sorrento was a nice bonus touch. Totally satisfied and would highly recommend!!!
Everything as Expected and More!!

One of our choices in our Trip to Rome was a trip to Pompeii. Having an opportunity to spend a half day touring the Amalfi Coast and visiting a town there, in addition to being in a smaller group is why I chose the Roman Guy/Tour Guy Tours. It was definitely the right choice. Though it was a long day (and you cannot do it in less so be aware), it includes seeing a lot!! We had an escorted day with an amazing guide on our small bus (Allesandro ?) and a friendly/safe driver (Paulo). The guide pointed out information, made stops along the way, walked us through Sorrento to give us some ideas before giving us time on our own, gave us lunch choices and kept us informed on time we would return home. There were plenty of stops (every two hours for food and rest). In Pompeii, we had an exceptional guide, Victoria, with headphones, to make certain we heard her words. She was organized and extremely knowledgeable as well as entertaining to listen to. I expected a long day. I choose this tour to see the most of Italy in a day. It was exactly as expected but much, much better, with the high quality of the guide, driver, vehicle (had wifi and charging units in each seat, air conditioning) so much to see, tons of information and plenty of stops along the way. I highly recommend taking The Roman Guy/Tour Guy Tours.

We really enjoyed the tour. Mario and Veronica were our guides, and they were fantastic. The drivers were Danilo and Alfredo and they did a great job. I would have paid the same price to just go to Pompeii in order to spend more time there, however I enjoyed seeing Sorrento as well. Be prepared to get back closer to 9 pm due to traffic.

A well organised day trip. Sonia, the guide in Pompeii, was amazing with her knowledge and subtle humour. Appreciate how she navigates us around the crowd, and bringing us to the sights which are not too crowded, without compromising the important places to visit in the short 2-hr tour. Mario, the tour guide was super helpful and knowledgable, recommending the sights and views in Sorrento, and with his attention to us tourists all the journey. Last but not least, the amazing bus captain (sorry I forgot your name), for his safe driving and getting us to the places and back on time.

The audio connection was poor. It was constantly going out. They need a better system. Otherwise Antonio was very knowledgeable and interesting

The tour guide was passionate and knowledgeable, but the tour felt very rushed as we were walked quickly from one sight to the next….no toilet breaks even at the end of the tour….Sorrento was nice but is a pain to drive in and out of for the time you have there….hats off though to Paolo the driver who had to put up with a nightmare 4.5 hour trip back because of issues on the motorway

The destinations are worth the trip. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides. We were a small group so we went in a small bus/van. The seats were tiny and the A/C could barely keep up. The ride is my only complaint.

Overall the tour was good if not long (but I was prepared for that). We made a roadside pit stop in Cassino which broke up the trip nicely. The tour guide was okay… spoke a lot about things unrelated to the trip but had some interesting things to say. We stopped at a limoncello factory which was great.. delicious samples and many things for purchase. We then spent an hour and a half in Sorrento which I thought was a bit too short. We then drove and hour to Pompeii which was fascinating. The guide, Antonio was was very good and incredibly passionate. However, the language barrier and accent made it difficult to understand at times. The ride home was exceptionally long but only because we travelled over an Italian long weekend which created a lot of traffic. Overall, it was a fun day.
