Itinerary
Your tour begins at Piazzale Flaminio
Start your journey in Piazzale Flaminio, near Flaminio metro station and Viale Washington (bus area). Then, board a comfortable coach for your journey to the stunning Amalfi Coast.
Scenic drive along the Autostrada del Sole
The road trip begins as you speed along the Autostrada del Sole, literally the Highway of the Sun, heading south toward the Amalfi Coast. Watch the landscape transform as picturesque countryside rolls by, dotted with bright lemon orchards and historic Italian villages.
Free time to explore Positano
Next, you arrive at the famously photogenic town of Positano, where pastel-colored houses seem to tumble down the steep cliffs toward the turquoise water. Your tour leader offers insider tips on the best ways to spend your free time here.
Guided archaeological tour of Pompeii
After your time on the Amalfi Coast, you'll travel to the ancient UNESCO World Heritage site of Pompeii, the Roman city buried by Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Skip the long ticket line and join an archaeologist guide for an in-depth exploration of this remarkably intact city, frozen in time.
Explore ancient Roman streets and public spaces
You’ll walk through the incredibly preserved streets, homes, and public spaces, which reveal fascinating secrets about Roman civilization almost two millennia ago. Your archaeologist guide brings the once-thriving city back to life with stories and insights.
Your tour finishes at Piazzale Flaminio
After a full day filled with the beauty of the Amalfi Coast and the history of ancient Rome, you’ll relax on the return journey to Rome. You’ll be dropped off at the original meeting point at Piazzale Flaminio in the evening.
