Privileged Entrance Colosseum Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill

Alba was incredible!

I had the wonderful privilege of having Alba as my tour guide for the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill during my trip to Rome last week. This was the BEST tour I have ever taken (and I work in museums here in the states so have taken/given many a tour myself). Alba has a PhD in Archaeology from Brown so is super knowledgeable, but she is unique in that she really brings these ancient places to life - I appreciated her focus on viewing these places as not being fixed in a certain time, but constantly evolving, and envisioning the many different lives a place/building has experienced. For example, I learned a lot about ancient Rome, which was expected, but also about medieval and even WWII era Rome. She really imparts the soul of the places you are visiting, and encourages you to learn their many layers of history, while maintaining an approachable and kind demeanor. Alba brings, along with her deep knowledge, a passion and sense of curiosity for the history around us. I feel so lucky that, as a history lover with a short time in Rome (I nearly didn't make this tour due to Rone traffic!), I had her as my guide. She had great recommendations as well for further exploration - I want to come back to Rome now to explore the Jewish Ghetto neighborhood and some of the lesser-known underground sites. Highly recommend this tour, and Alba in particular! (In general, I recommend touring the Colosseum with a guide as well, since it's such a massive site and having a knowledgeable guide really helps put it into context, whereas it could otherwise feel crowded and overwhelming. The Tour Guy/The Roman Guy was a great option with excellent and updated communication). Many thanks for such an amazing experience!

We had an extraordinary tour guide who provided detailed information. All of our questions were answered and she filled the three hours well. It’s so helpful to have someone of her background when providing historical information and context.

Charminh and informative tour of colosseum but lacking on the Forum and Palantine Hill

Stefano was a charming guide that made the Colosseum come alive! He is a natural storyteller. It was very entertaining. The only downside was that we had little time for the Forum and Palantine Hill. We basically saw it from a distance with a brief description. We didn't walk through them as we expected from the description the tour.

Amazing Experience and Tour Gal

Our tour guy, Serena, was very pleasant and engaging. Her voice was nice to hear as we toured around the colosseum and Palatine Hills. She provided us very interesting facts and gave us ample time to take photos and walk from each point. It was also easy to find our meeting point for the tour. The directions were very helpful and the red tour guide shirt and flag. Would definitely recommend this tour 5/5.

Wonderful small tour of colesseum

Marco was wonderful. He shared his knowledge about Rome and his passion for Rome was delivered! Breathtaking views of Colesseum and the Roman Forum was amazing. Thanks for a lovely tour and the history lesson.

Disappointed

Our group of four was scheduled to tour the Colosseum and Palatine Hills. A representative of the tour company came and told us the tour guide had broken his leg the night before and our tour was cancelled. They would partially refund our money and help us download an app so we could self guide. The self guided tour was very difficult to follow. The Colosseum was wonderful. We really wished we had the tour we had planned for because we missed out on a lot of the history.
