More than Expected

From many videos and feedback from other people going to see the famous sites Italy has to offer it was always noted that a tour would be vital to experience the heart of Italy. With this tour I was only expecting to see the Colosseum however, the package included way more than I expected. We started off at the Roman Forum which was unexpected but, such a great opportunity to see the heart and the beginning of Rome itself. Much was learned with this part of the tour with many interesting facts, stories and reasons why each structure was build with the tour guide even having a booklet to show us the past and present of each location giving picture references of the fallen places we were standing shown in their prime. Even getting a bonus by getting a better view of the Colosseum. The pictures from this angle were outstanding if not the best ones I got of the Colosseum. Before I go further note that waiting for each places would generally take about a few hours to enter but, with the tour you pass by the lines and enter each place within minutes. Not only that our group consisted of only 6 people compared to other guides that had 15+ if not more, so you get to experience the tour with the tour guide acting more of a friend teaching you rather than just dragging you around like I saw present with other groups. The Colosseum was rich with history. With our tour guide we got to experience almost if not everything the Colosseum had to offer from the highest to the lowest point of each level. Learning even more of what the general public may not know. The key highlight in my eyes were the underground layers where you get to step foot where the gladiators back in the day walked, fought or fallen in their glorious battles. There were many other things as well, but I won’t spoil as I think it’s better to experience the tour as words can’t describe what was felt. I am truly thankful for this experience, both my partner and I learned so much and got to leave with ease knowing we experienced the wonders of Italy the tour offered us. As my title states this was more than why I expected but I am truly blessed I stumbled across this tour. Thank you to all who were involved to making this trip one to remember.

Lots of Great Information

I loved this tour! Francesca was great and so accommodating! Going through not only the Colosseum but also the Roman Forum was a great way to spend the morning. Wear comfy shoes, ask to stop and see things if they are interesting to you, and enjoy!

The BEST tour guide.

David was phenomenal. The tour was in depth and well worth the time and money. He is extremely knowledgeable, funny, and made great recommendations. He even gave us a great lunch spot (called Propaganda). If you’re going to book any Colosseum tour, make sure it’s with David.

Great tour with lots of information!

Marzia did a fantastic job bringing the Colosseum alive and gave a very thorough overview of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. There is so much information and she did a great job of sifting through stories and scenarios that were interesting to everyone.

Great tour, fabulous guide.

My party had an error in our schedule and completely missed that we needed to be at the Colosseum an hour earlier than we thought. The Tour Guy was extremely accommodating. They texted us pictures of our tickets, and the scarf of the tour guide. Unbelievably, we were able to find our tour guide and benefit from her great knowledge. Alessa (?) was wonderful!

Educational & Fun

Paola was our guide and she was amazing. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable but she was humorous, patient and detailed. We learned so much. Booking was easy.
