Maiori and Minori are two little towns on the Amalfi Coast that most people don’t even notice. But they should. Are you visiting these towns and your hunger has snuck up on you? Not to worry! We got you covered with our local guides mapping out the best restaurants in Maiori and Minori

Brandon’s Travel Tip: When traveling to a different country the planning stage can be stressful. By bookmarking helpful articles it is a great way not to forget some vital info that you pick up. Bookmark this post so you know where to eat! Also, check out our Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Tours.

8 Best Places To Eat And Drink In Maiori and Minori, Amalfi Coast

Everyone has seen pictures of the Amalfi Coast. It is hands down, one of the most beautiful places on earth. As a result, many people want to come and visit, which makes sense. When you have a lot of tourists you are bound to see many tourist trap restaurants, so you need to be careful.

Since nobody likes tourist traps ( myself included) we have asked our local guides to put together a list of their favorite places when they are in these two towns. We hope it helps you take the guesswork out of your decision and focus on enjoying your vacation. Buon Appetito!

Torre Normanna ( Maiori)

€€€€ | Amazing Views | Family Run

So how cool would it be to eat in a 13th century Norman tower? I think it’s awesome and you should too. That previous statement works only if the food is outstanding. And it is so go for it.

Make sure you arrive before the sun sets, so you can enjoy the breathtaking sunset with a glass of prosecco. Jump right in with some homemade Ricotta dumplings. After that stick your fork into some linguine with sea urchins and bottarga. If you have a huge appetite, then go with whatever fish of the day they have ( changes daily depending on the catch). Wash it all down with cold white wine and begin to dream.

Address: Strada Statale Amalfitana, 4, 84010 Maiori

Hours:  12:30 PM- 3:30 PM, 7:30 PM-11:30 PM Always Open

Pasticceria Sal De Riso ( Minori)

€ | Best Pastry Shop | Local Delicacies

If you happen to find yourself in Minori and want something sweet, there is only one place to go. Sal De Riso is famous along the entire coast for their delectable treats.

As the shop has become more and more famous, they have expanded their product mix past just desserts. As of now, they also create ice cream, preserves, liquors, and savory treats. This is one place not to be missed.

Address: Via Roma, 80, 84010 Minori

Hours:  8 AM- 5 PM Closed Sundays

Donna Maria ( Maiori)

€ | Family Run | Hidden Gem

When in Italy you have to eat pizza. It is a rite of passage. The crazy thing is that many people think pizza is the same all over the country, but that couldn’t’ be further from the truth. In these parts of the woods, you eat the Neopolitan style pizza, where pizza originally comes from.

Tucked behind a little corner, this hidden gem is open for lunch and dinner. Besides pizza, you can enjoy delicious grilled veggies and also lasagna. Pop in for a great surprise and enjoy.

Address:  Via Casale dei Cicerali, 9, 84010 Maiori

Casa Mandina ( Maiori)

€€ | Inventive Cuisine | Modern Decor

This is the dream-child of two young brothers and very gifted chefs. Their repetoire includes not only the top restaurants along the coast, but also international restaurants abroad.

You walk in with the mom who greets you and will eat the produce from grandpa’s farm. Need I say anything else? Oh yeah, the service is great and the wine list is extensive. What are you waiting for?

Address: Via Casa Mannini, 10, 84010 Maiori

Hours:  12:30 PM- 3:30 PM, 7:30 PM-11:30 PM Always Open

Ristorante Masaniello ( Maiori)

€€ | Seafood | Outdoor Seating

When you think about eating on the coast, you think seafood. If that is your vibe then, come on down! The chef is young, energetic and ready to please.

The menu varies from different kinds of starters with fish to pasta with lobster. If you are not full after that, then have them throw a fresh fish caught that morning on the grill and drizzle some olive oil on top. Wash everything down with a chilled bottle of white nectar ( wine).

Address: Via Casale dei Cicerali, 6, 84010 Maiori

Hours:  12 PM- 3 PM, 7 PM-Midnight Always Open

Ristorante Pizzeria Giardiniello ( Minori)

the tour guy amalfi coast

€€ | Cozy Atmosphere | Seafood

One of the local favorites, you come here to eat seafood. Their specialty ranges from delicious starters to abundant dishes of seafood pasta. One of the first things you will notice when you walk in is how you are treated like family. The restaurant is spacious, so it can also accommodate bigger groups.

I would start off with a crudo, which means a plate of raw fish, including oysters, shrimp, and tuna. After, you dive into a dish of pasta with clams, mussels, and shrimp. At this point, people are usually full, but if you want more, they got you covered. If you don’t like seafood, then they have a delicious pizza. Enjoy.

Address: Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 17, 84010 Minori

Hours:  12 PM- 3 PM, 6:30 PM-11 PM Always Open

RistoBar Antares ( Minori)

€ | Relaxed Atmosphere | Local’s Place

Sometimes you don’t want to have a long, sit down lunch. In the chill, beachside town of Minori, RistoBar Antares gives you super flexibility to choose either one of the other.

Whether it is for a coffee, an aperitivo, a full meal, or just some ice cream, they have you covered. The bar’s location is ideally located for people watching right in the center of town. Pop on in for a coffee or a spritz and you might end up staying longer for a full meal!

What do you get when you combine sophisticated food, great views and a Michelin star? A dining experience you won’t forget! At the Faro, you will find a very unpretentious Michelin restaurant that lets the food do all the talking.

Not everyone wants to splurge on a dinner, but if you are going to do it for one night- or have a special occasion, I would highly recommend it. The views are amazing and the service is everything you would expect. Splurge and carpe diem!
