Does the name “Tlaquepaque” sound familiar? If so, it’s likely because this area in Sedona is both named and modeled after a village in Mexico. Pronounced “Tla-keh-pah-keh,” the village’s name translates to “the best of everything” in English. And we can see why! Picturesque Tlaquepaque is Sedona’s arts and culture village, boasting a plethora of art galleries as well as many places to shop for souvenirs. People love visiting the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, a popular outdoor market.

Tlaquepaque hosts many events throughout the year, such as a celebration for Cinco de Mayo as well as a Festival of Lights. This village is also the starting point for two different hiking trails along the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, the A.B. Young Trail and Little Horse Trail.
