There are lots of great guides in Florence who work for museums or companies like ours. That said, we charge more than museums, which means we pay tour guides healthier, more "livable" wages. We also use data science to measure guides based on the reviews they receive from customers. We only employ guides who can maintain a 4.5 average rating or higher. Museums normally don't employ data scientists. So yes, you are far more likely to get a better, more passionate, and personable guide with us rather than booking directly with an attraction.

Are Audio guides the same as guides?

No, an audio guide is just a recording. When someone makes a great audio guide, we will sell them on our marketplace. That said, we have yet to find an audio guide that we listen to from start to finish. Therefore you will have a better experience with a guide than an audio guide.

Will it be hot in Florence?

If you are coming in the summer, and most people do, then yes. Prepare to be hot. For men, a linen shirt and shorts in the summer or a dress for women. Mentally prepare for heat and you'll find it bothering you less. Bring a bottle of water and fill it up as you go!
