Francesca was a wonderful tour guide for the Accademia and David. Although the tour is 1.5 hours, this includes time outside, waiting in line to get in and a few minutes to wander at the end. We had plenty of time to see Michelangelo’s sculptures, including David and Francesca provided much information on the time he worked. She also discussed many of the other pieces of art in the museum. Gracie!

Thank you Marco. What an education. We did not just look at a statue, we learned the history of the period, the political, economic and religious leading to the employment of Michelangelo. We learned of Michelangelo's self-confidence (arrogance?) in accepting the commission with complete artistic license. We learned of Michelangelo's spirituality as he revealed David from the marble --removing all that was unnecessary. We even learned how he polished the sculpture. Thank you Marco. Magnificent!

Marta was passionate, informative, and entertaining. The museum’s contents and even the buildings in which it sits had way more meaning than if we had walked the museum ourselves. The skip-the-line entry was also a great bonus. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Accademia Museum.

Our guide Michele made sure we got a chance to appreciate the impressiveness and beauty that is the statue of David. He showed us some beautiful pieces throughout the academy as well. He was very knowledgeable and we ended up with Michele as a guide for the Uffizi galleries! He was the best!

My family loved this evening tour of David and other sculptures at the Accademia. The tour guide was extremely interesting and informative. She explained so much about Michelangelo and the Renaissance in Florence, as well as about the masterpiece David. She didn't rush our small group but gave us time to absorb its beauty. After viewing David she took us to view other sculptures in the museum, explaining the historical and artistic context of the works. Fascinating! We highly recommend.
