Meet your guide in central Florence
You’ll meet your guide and a small group of fellow travelers in central Florence. Look for the exact location on your booking voucher.
Sip and snack at a historic wine window
Wander to a traditional buchetta del vino, believed to be one of Florence’s oldest. Enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine and a crunchy tarallo as your guide shares stories of Renaissance-era merchants and quirky Florentine traditions.
Taste Tuscany’s comfort-food classics
Next, settle into a cozy enoteca (wine shop) with a kitchen for a variety of Tuscan flavors. Enjoy Prosciutto, salami, two cheeses, tomato bruschetta, classic thick tomato soup known as pappa al pomodoro, and two different paccheri pasta dishes one with yellow tomato sauce and the other with classic tomato sauce. Then indulge in a tasting selection of Orange mustard, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. These tastings are paired with a locally sourced wine for the full Tuscan experience.
Cross Ponte Vecchio into the Oltrarno
On your way to the next stop, cross the iconic Ponte Vecchio. This bridge is the oldest in Florence and famous for the quirky shops built right into its sides.
Enjoy a traditional Florentine steak dinner

This was one of the best tours we had on our 2 weeks in Italy. Our guide was amazingly informed, she brought not only the history to life but gave us detailed information on all of the foods, eateries, and drinks that not only included what and why we were eating/drinking what we were but also details so specific to the individual ingredients in the dishes.
