Itinerary
Meet your guide in central Florence
You’ll meet your guide and a small group of fellow travelers in central Florence. Look for the exact location on your booking voucher.
Sip and snack at a historic wine window
Wander to a traditional buchetta del vino, believed to be one of Florence’s oldest. Enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine and a crunchy tarallo as your guide shares stories of Renaissance-era merchants and quirky Florentine traditions.
Taste Tuscany’s comfort-food classics
Next, settle into a cozy enoteca (wine shop) with a kitchen for a variety of Tuscan flavors. Enjoy Prosciutto, salami, two cheeses, tomato bruschetta, classic thick tomato soup known as pappa al pomodoro, and two different paccheri pasta dishes one with yellow tomato sauce and the other with classic tomato sauce. Then indulge in a tasting selection of Orange mustard, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. These tastings are paired with a locally sourced wine for the full Tuscan experience.
Cross Ponte Vecchio into the Oltrarno
On your way to the next stop, cross the iconic Ponte Vecchio. This bridge is the oldest in Florence and famous for the quirky shops built right into its sides.
Enjoy a traditional Florentine steak dinner
Then it’s time for the star of the night. Sit down for a generous serving of Florentine steak, crisp on the outside and ruby-red inside, just as locals prefer. With roasted potatoes and a bold Tuscan red, this is a true Florentine feast.
Award-winning gelato in Santo Spirito
Your final stop is a beloved gelateria in the artsy Santo Spirito neighborhood. Savor a scoop (or two) of the city’s creamiest gelato as your guide shares final tips for exploring Florence’s food scene on your own.
Your tour finishes in central Florence
Once dessert wraps up, the guided portion concludes. You’re free to linger in the lively square, enjoy another drink, or make your way back across the river at your own pace.
