Your tour begins at Via Cavour 18, Florence

Enter the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
Skip the long ticket lines and step inside this cathedral, built over 150 years by Arnolfo di Cambio, Giotto, and Brunelleschi. Your guide explains Vasari's frescoes above and why the interior was left deliberately bare.
Climb to the exclusive North Terrace
Ascend 153 steps through a narrow, centuries-old corridor that has been closed to the public. From the rooftop, Florence spreads out below you as Brunelleschi's Dome fills the skyline right at arm's length.

Good to know:
Dress Code: The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a place of worship, so both men and women must cover their knees and shoulders. Access to the Terraces and Dome will be denied to anyone wearing high heels, flip-flops, slippers, or clogs. Guests who do not meet the dress code may be refused entry.
Accessibility: Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. The Terraces require 153 steps, and the full climb to the summit of Brunelleschi's Dome involves 463 steps in total. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your mobility.
Physical Requirements: This tour involves a significant amount of climbing on narrow, ancient staircases. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. The tour is not recommended for guests with back problems, heart conditions, or other serious medical conditions.
Age Restriction: This tour is not permitted for children under 7 years of age.
Bag Policy: Bulky backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside the Dome or Terraces. Please leave them at your accommodation.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can depart on time.

Outstanding small group tour. Covered all the major sights in a reasonable amount of time. Knowledgeable and friendly guide explained the history and highlights. One ticket also includes access to the Duomo museum and Baptistery either the same day or within 2 days after. Highly recommend.

Lots of great information in an interesting manner. Superb views of Florence from "hidden" areas and special access. An architect's or builder's dream. There are lots of steps, some are steep, but our lovely guide made them manageable by keeping the pace moderate. I would not recommend this tour for anyone with a fear of heights, bad knee or hip joints, or cardiovascular issues. But for me? Fabulous!

I was completely disappointed that my family of 6 was unable to enjoy our Duomo tour. We booked the tour with The Tour Guy & the activity provider was Towns of Italy. Everything seemed to be going well. I was getting email confirmations that said we were all set, but when I showed up at my meeting point, the activity provider didn’t know anything about our reservation. The Tour Guy had my reservation, but when I showed up at the meeting point The Towns of Italy didn’t know anything about my reservation. It had not gotten transferred to them by the Tour Guy. Therefore, there was nothing for us or any opportunity to go that day we visited Florence. We were so sad and disappointed

Directions to the tour start were very bad. I had to call and ask where they were. They had to go hunting for others and 2 were 15 minutes late. Better instructions on the stair climb and when u can stop were not clear. Never really saw a secret terrace, I guess a roof ledge was a terrace. We lost 2 guests while they checked their backpacks but they finally were found. The Duomo was impressive, maybe I should have found a tour to just do that.
