One of The Best Tours Ever!

We took a private tour with the most knowledgeable, personable and accommodating tour guide anyone could ask for. Cristiano guided us through the Uffizi Gallery with a focus on the highlights, the history behind the art and its ties to the time and culture of Florence at the time it was created. He was passionate about art, provided interesting background information and was able to answer all our questions. Cristiano also assisted us with securing a few wheelchairs and rearranged the tour to accommodate our needs. We were extremely impressed by Cristiano and highly recommend Tour Guy.

Great tour

The family really enjoyed this tour even though the Uffizi was pretty crowded with school groups. Our guide, Alma Lizia, was fantastic and really impressive from an art history perspective. The tour didn't include all of the museum but hit the major Rennaissance works but you are free to stay inside after the tour and go see any particular work you want to see. I highly recommend.

Perfect tour

The tour was perfect! The museum is incredibly large and having such a knowledgeable guide take us to the best works of art and explain why these pieces of art and their creators are so important made the visit worthwhile. The early time was great as the accessibility to the works was much better with minimal crowds.

The Best Way to See the Uffizi for a First Timer

Uffizi private tour

Two hours went by incredibly quickly, but the guide was perfect and concentrated on paintings that showed the development of art through the renaissance period. Well worth the cost and very enjoyable.

Great intro to art history in Italy and highlights of the museum.

Our guide was an art history major with 2 years of additional training as a tour guide. We had a 2 hour private tour for our group of 6. It was a crowded day at the museum, but the guide deftly led us through the masses and gave us both a history of the Medici family in Florence and the signature Italian works of art in the museum. She pointed out particular artistic styles, how they changed over time, and just which artists and works marked the changes. All-in-all, it was an educational and efficient way to make a first visit to the Uffizi. I also recommend this company as booking, communication and meeting to start the tour all went smoothly.
