The Uffizi and the Medici Family
Uffizi is Italian for "offices". In fact, the Medici Family used the building that houses the Uffizi Gallery as offices.
Laocoön and His Sons, by Bandinelli
See a beautiful version of the famous statue held in the Vatican, crafted by Baccio Bandinelli.
The works of Da Vinci
Da Vinci left a surprisingly small number of paintings behind. See his portrayal of angel Gabriel informing the Virgin Mary that she will bear a son whose reign will never end.
Botticelli's Birth of Venus
Botticelli’s most famous painting was considered by many as the Renaissance masterpiece that brought the world out of the Dark Ages
Raphael's Madonna del Cardellino
This beautiful piece was almost lost forever. You'll learn the story of how it was saved.
For Reference Only. Itineraries are subject to change
You’ll meet your guide at Piazza della Signoria in the center of the square at the Statue of Cosimo I (the man on the horse). A friendly representative will be there holding a sign with The Tour Guy name on it.
As this is a walking tour, wear comfortable shoes and don't bring large bags. Other than that, just bring your sense of curiosity!

The family really enjoyed this tour even though the Uffizi was pretty crowded with school groups. Our guide, Alma Lizia, was fantastic and really impressive from an art history perspective. The tour didn't include all of the museum but hit the major Rennaissance works but you are free to stay inside after the tour and go see any particular work you want to see. I highly recommend.

The tour was perfect! The museum is incredibly large and having such a knowledgeable guide take us to the best works of art and explain why these pieces of art and their creators are so important made the visit worthwhile. The early time was great as the accessibility to the works was much better with minimal crowds.
Great climb and loved cutting the lines

There is no way that my wife and I could have seen AND understood all the highlights of the Uffizi without Franchie leading us. She was high energy, highly knowledgeable, and fun to tour with. Another excellent tour from the Tour Guy!

Two hours went by incredibly quickly, but the guide was perfect and concentrated on paintings that showed the development of art through the renaissance period. Well worth the cost and very enjoyable.

Our guide was an art history major with 2 years of additional training as a tour guide. We had a 2 hour private tour for our group of 6. It was a crowded day at the museum, but the guide deftly led us through the masses and gave us both a history of the Medici family in Florence and the signature Italian works of art in the museum. She pointed out particular artistic styles, how they changed over time, and just which artists and works marked the changes. All-in-all, it was an educational and efficient way to make a first visit to the Uffizi. I also recommend this company as booking, communication and meeting to start the tour all went smoothly.

We started our 2-hour tour early with Sabine - she was very knowledgable and engaging and was able to go at the right pace for us and our 9-year old, who enjoyed visiting and learning about Uffizi way more than if he'd done it with us alone. A great way to visit!

We did a private tour with Cosetta. She was great. She gave our 2 high schoolers a great education about Florence, the Medici family and the Renaissance. Without her, our experience at the gallery would have just been looking at old stuff. She gave us an art education and brought the stories and the art to life. Thank you!
Fantastico!

My wife and I were so fortunate to have a tour with Elena. While the weather was dreary, she was upbeat and kept us excited about every step. Her passion and love for Italy and the Tuscany region was overwhelming. I would recommend this simple tour to everyone!
