Your tour begins at the top of the wide staircase between TMark Hotel Vaticano and Caffé Vaticano. Meet your private guide and prepare to enter the world’s most famous art collection.
Explore the Vatican Museums

Good to know:
Hotel Drop-off: Please include the name of your hotel in the "additional notes" section at checkout to ensure a smooth return. Your driver will provide complimentary drop-off at your accommodation within the city center at the end of the tour. If you'd prefer a hotel pick-up instead, please let us know in advance.
Dress Code: As the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel are deeply religious sites, everyone must cover their knees and shoulders. Guests who do not meet the dress code may be refused entry by security officials. No hats or flip flops please.
Cruise Ship Passengers: Consider booking our cruise-friendly option, which includes transportation from and back to Civitavecchia Port
Accessibility: As this is a private tour, the itinerary can be accommodated to be wheelchair or mobility accessible. Please reach out to us after making the booking to make the proper arrangements.
ID Requirement: Please bring a valid government-issued ID for entrance into the Colosseum. The name on your tickets (entered at check-out) must match the name listed on your government-issued ID or you may be refused entry.
Tour Changes: Depending on the assigned entry time for the Colosseum, your tour might enter the Roman Forum first and end in the Colosseum. The start time of your tour has the potential to change. Please keep your day open.
Lines: This tour grants timed entry access to the Vatican Museums and Colosseum. While you'll bypass the long general admissions line for independent visitors, there may still be a short wait to get through security.
Bag Policy: The Colosseum allows small to medium-sized bags, but large backpacks, suitcases, and wheeled bags are prohibited and must be left behind. All bags are subject to security screening, similar to an airport.
Disability certification: Visitors with valid disability certification are eligible for a reduced €2 entry ticket to the Colosseum, which also applies to one companion. Contact us after booking to arrange this. This applies to the ticket cost only, not the tour price.
Please Note: The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so silence is required inside. Your guide will share everything you need to know before you enter.

Bogdon was our guide and he was excellent especially since we had one person in our group that had trouble with stairs. He was very patient. We were a group of 10 girlfriends and only had two days in Rome. This tour gave us a chance to see some things we really wanted to see. I would say we would have enjoyed more time at the Spanish Stairs. We really were only there for a quick photo stop and we would have liked the chance to climb (most of us could do stairs fine) and the Vatican part of the tour through the museum could have been a little shorter. The Collesum portion was terrific!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The absolute best tour we’ve ever had! Our private tour for 10 of us in Rome was an absolute highlight of our trip, all thanks to Bogdan with The Tour Guy. Out of all the tours I have ever taken, and I travel a ton, this was hands down the best one. Bogdan was incredibly kind, patient, absolutely hilarious, and remarkably informative. He brought the history of Rome to life with so much passion and humor that the time just flew by. We absolutely loved him and cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are coming to Rome, do yourself a favor and book a tour with The Tour Guy and hope you get Bogdan. He went out of his way to help one of our members who is handicap to feel comfortable and safe. The tour guy is a 5 star tour guide company so book your next tour with them.

Bogdan was so much fun! He had tremendous knowledge and a very engaging way in sharing his knowledge. It was a tremendous challenge to give us "The Rome Experience" in a day and he did it. I really appreciated his efforts in seeking out shade and cooler spots throughout the tour. He really made us his priority. Couldn't have asked more in a tour guide. Tour Guys company were great with communication and delivered on the tour. The headset communication was great and the air-conditioned car service was amazing. If you have a short time in Rome, this is the tour to take. Ask for Bogdan.

Our family of 10 took a private full day tour with the tour guy company. We cannot recommend this tour enough, it was perfect to see the main hilights! We loved skipping all of the long lines too!! Our guide was very informative and entertaining, we had kids ranging from 1-11 and they all enjoyed it!

Our private tour of the Vatican and Colosseum was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Chiara was amazing and was incredibly knowledgeable. She did a great job of explaining things as well as answering questions. There were several times she got us into shorter lines or into special areas that other tourists were not in. We would highly recommend and ask for Chiara.

Our tour guide, Paola was so kind and so knowledgeable. Rome is a lot to see in one day and the intense heat made it very challenging, however Paola and our driver made sure we had as much shade and water as possible. Highly recommend this tour and Paola.

Be sure to book this tour with the name that is on your passport. I booked my tour using the name Tracy, but my passport says Theresa. I was not allowed into the Forum or Colosseum. Our tour guide tried really hard to convince the manager, but no dice. I go by Tracy but they could not make the leap that it was a nickname. They however were fine with Tim for Timothy, Doug for Douglas, and Char for Charlotte. Otherwise this was a fantastic tour and well worth the $$$ Raffa was an awesome tour guide.

We had a wonderful day traveling all around Rome with Manuela! She was very patient with our group as my mom needed assistance with walking due to a muscle cramp! She was such a delight to visit with all day and so knowledgeable about the city. We loved her pace and her joy for this beautiful area of Italy.
