Fantastic tour of the palace and gardens

We chose this tour that included the group going by train together from Paris as we were concerned we wouldn't be able to find the group in Versailles. The Tour Guy guides were organized, and meeting at the designated spot was easy to find. They broke us up into smaller groups of about 6-8, which was great. We all had earpieces that worked well. Dimitri was our guide and gave an excellent tour and presentation of all highlights in the palace, the gardens, and then gave us great suggestions for which individual gardens to walk through to see the fountains. (The fountains are not "on" and flowing all the time - they provide you with a schedule.) This was helpful and we saw quite a few of them which were truly enjoyable. Our family was very pleasantly surprised at how much we all loved the gardens. Dimitri also did a fantastic job showing us how to use the train system with our tickets and phones. I think the palace is one of these sites that if you wandered around on your own without a guide, you would really miss a lot of the history and how the palace came to be and what happened after it was constructed. This tour was a favorite of our family for the whole trip in France for us. Highly recommend - thank you!

Versailles is amazing

Our semi-private tour of Versailles had a good tour guide named Kenny. There were some challenges with the train not being available for transport to Versailles which caused a pivot to bus travel. That resulted in a bit of a delay, but Kenny managed to make it all work out.

Astrid was wonderful! Although the palace was very crowded, she kept her cool and kept us all together. She explained the different sights to see in the gardens and the different ways we can get to them as well as how to how to get back on the train. Highly recommend!

Great Tour....worth it

We had a great tour with Astrid. I was skeptical at first. Was this worth the extra cost? Couldn't we do it on our own? Well, unbeknownst to us, the day we chose to visit Versailles was VE Day, when half of Paris was at the site. Astrid help us bypass the long lines and provided excellent commentary about the various rooms in the Palace and then oriented us to the arrangement of the gardens. Despite the crowds she was able to make this a memorable experience.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. She understood art and history. Also provided great tips for our time in Paris and on using local train.

Great tour with a smaller group

So grateful we did a tour to navigate the chaos of Versailles. Dimitri was very knowledgeable and personable and adeptly led us through the palace - having a smaller group was wonderful and he was thoughtful about ensuring people saw what they wanted to and gave us great recommendations for what to see in the gardens - tailored for what people were interested in.
