Your tour begins at Avenue Elisée Reclus
You'll meet your guide in Avenue Elisée Reclus alongside a small group of 20 people or fewer. Your guide will share captivating stories about the tower's controversial construction while handling your tickets, so you can soak in those first stunning views of this iconic monument.
Security checkpoint and 2nd floor elevator
After a quick security check, you'll ride the elevator 377 feet up to the 2nd-floor observation deck. The city unfolds below, spot the Arc de Triomphe, the green ribbon of the Champs-Élysées, and Notre Dame's famous towers.
Summit elevator ride
Next, a glass-walled elevator carries you to the top visitor level, 905 feet above the streets. From up here, Paris stretches to the horizon in every direction. You can peek into Gustave Eiffel's original office or grab Champagne at the bar.
1st floor glass floor experience
Then you'll head back down to the 1st floor, where a magical experience awaits. You'll walk across a suspended glass floor 182 feet above the ground, watching the River Seine wind directly beneath your feet.

Gilbert wax an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and kind. We purchased the summit access and at the end of our tour time with us the summit access was closed due to heat but he stayed close by to monitor the situation and didn’t leave us until he was certain we were on our way to the top! Above and beyond his duties!! The summit access was amazing

Tour was great! Our guide Gilbert was excellent. We were a bit confused at first when they said that we had to go buy the tickets, but everything went very smoothly. This was nearing sunset in July, so we were pleasantly surprised as we expected large lines and wait times.

The July heatwave won out by forcing the closure of access to the summit, just as our group was headed to the summit elevator from the 2nd level. Tour guide, Angela, was very good throughout the tour. She remained energetic, upbeat, and knowledgeable about the tower history and pointed out many interesting areas of Paris from our perch on the towers 2nd level, We were refunded monies since we were unable to visit the summit. Yes, it was disappointing not being able to go to the top, but that was no fault of Angela or her company. We are grateful for them making it right by refunding the cost of going to the summit.

This was one of three tours booked thru Tour Guy. I definitely recommend this company for tours in Paris. All of our guides were absolutely great. Due to the record heat when we were there our original booking was cancelled due to the tower shutting down, however Tour Guy worked with us and got an alternate date and time that fit in with our remaining days there. We had Julia for our Eiffel Tower guide. She was entertaining and very informative. We were lucky and the top was open for our tour but that is not always the case so be aware that the tower staff control when the top is available.

We went with Julia on the evening tour. I'll start here by saying my teenager hates tours! I booked the tour because tickets to the summit had sold out and I read that a tour gave the best chance of getting to the top. Julia warned us it might not be possible, but we made it! There was a bit of queuing for the first lift, but Julia entertained us with just the right level of information to keep it interesting. My teenager stayed engaged the whole time, which is a strong endorsement of her tour guide skills! She also provided lots of useful paris tips too.

Mr. Gilbert was knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and helpful. He made the tour unforgettable, educational and fun. 15 year old, 12 year old and 6 year old all had the best time. Timing was wonderful too so we got to see the tower twinkle. Lovely experience.
