We had an exceptional tour led by John today. We were a small group of five. He captivated us with his knowledge and enthusiasm. The louvre can feel like Charles de Gaulle airport because it's soooo crowded, vast, and complicated to navigate. This tour was worth every penny !! He was generous with his time and loves what he does. I am a thrifty person, I always take the metro, not cabs - IMO having a private tour makes the art and buildings come alive and I wouldn't want to visit the Louvre any other way. Thx to John we learned more and had a more rewarding experience than we would have with an audio recording

Our overall experience was great. Our guide was waiting for us where we were told. The tour was quick but efficient. it was a little shorter than I expected - we had thought it was to be 3 hours and it was more like 2 hours 20 minutes - but it covered the highlights. My only negative comment is that I tried to contact the tour company the day before and never received any kind of response from anyone. If there had been a real problem, I’m not sure there would have been any response at all. We were not told the guide’s name in advance so there was no individual to contact either.

We appreciated all the information provided, especially hearing the historical context of many of the paintings. It would have been better if the guide was more familiar with getting around with a wheelchair, but I suppose the need for that is limited. We recommend a guided tour of the Louvre, as it is so vast, and we would use the Tour Guy again.
