After following the restoration of Notre Dame from afar, seeing the progress and history up close on this tour was a truly powerful experience for me. Our guide did an incredible job of peeling back the layers of the cathedral’s Gothic architecture, sharing stories that made the stone carvings and massive flying buttresses feel like living history. I especially appreciated the focus on the reconstruction efforts, which gave me a whole new respect for the craftsmanship required to preserve such an iconic part of the Parisian skyline. It’s a relatively short and manageable tour, but the depth of knowledge provided left me with a much more meaningful connection to the site than if I had just walked by on my own.
