Your tour begins near the Louvre
Meet your guide just outside the Louvre, with the exact spot listed on your booking voucher. There are only 6 guests on this tour, so getting started is quick and easy.
Head inside the Louvre with a timed-entry ticket
Follow your guide’s lead through the Louvre's security check and enter the museum. There may be a short wait to get through this line.
Explore the Greek and Roman sculpture halls
First up on your tour is the Greek and Roman antiquity galleries. Come face to face with the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a headless marble goddess, and the iconic Venus de Milo, carved roughly 2,100 years ago.
Walk through the Renaissance masterpiece rooms
From there, your guide walks you through the Renaissance rooms, pointing out works by Raphael and Botticelli along the way. You'll also stop to take in Veronese's massive Wedding at Cana, a painting so large it fills an entire wall.
Stand before Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa
Here it is, the iconic Mona Lisa. Tune in as your guide shares its story, from its shocking theft in 1911 to the secrets behind that famous expression.
Discover the grand French history paintings
Then continue into the French masterpieces rooms. See Jacques-Louis David's Coronation of Napoleon, a painting full of historical inaccuracies, and Gericault's Raft of the Medusa, inspired by a real and devastating shipwreck.

You really need to book this tour! The Louvre is so overwhelming but our guide helped us understand the different works, artists and the building, which in my mind, is the star of the tour. Insightful, informative and funny!

Carolina was a most excellent guide imparting so much information in an engaging way. We really felt we got the best overview in a reasonable amount of time. She adapted so well to my husband’s mobility issues. We would take a tour with her at any museum and feel the better for it.

The guide was on time. Access to the museum was quick. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to see the highlights of the museum while including many art works that I would have walked past - for example the “other” four Da Vinci paintings. Overall, excellent and worth the price

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour with Carolina, she was very knowledgeable and friendly, and very accommodating of the special needs of one guest who had limited mobility. She gave us the perfect historical details to weave a narrative of the creation and evolution of the Louvre from the very beginnings, which made the pieces we were to see much more interesting and meaningful when put into context. She also had amusing and fascinating stories about each famous piece that we would never have known about had we just gone on our own. A must-do experience when you visit Paris!

We enjoyed our tour with our guide, John. We were surprised when John informed us the Louvre was on strike and that he wasn’t sure if it would open at all that day. He suggested we go get a beverage and he would keep us updated. Luckily the opening of the Louvre was only delayed an hour and we had our tour. John was very knowledgeable and provided us with many historical facts. We really enjoy our semi private tour!

Sid was our tour guide and he was amazing. Extremely knowledgable, great historical references behind the art, and very funny. My wife and I were learning and laughing the entire tour. Also, getting a tour was extremely important for reasons I didn't expect... a private area for tours with restroom and coat/purse checks, skipping the line was very important, it would've been hours in the queue, instead it was 10 minutes. I expected a knowledgalbe guide, and definitely had that(!), but the other benefits were really important. I'd definitely do a guided tour again. Bravo!!
