Climb to Sacré-Cœur, circle Notre-Dame’s, then meet the Mona Lisa
Your tour begins in Montmartre
Meet your guide at Abbesses Metro Station in Montmartre and get to know the group before you set off. You start the day in one of Paris’s most character-filled neighborhoods, where café corners and steep streets hint at the hilltop views ahead.

Explore Montmartre’s narrow streets in the quieter morning hours as your guide brings to life the stories of St. Denis, Picasso, artist cafés, and the origin of “bistro.” Discover a hidden garden and local gems that many visitors miss.
Pause for a coffee, then head up to Sacré-Cœur for Paris’ best views
Take a break at a local café for coffee or a snack before heading to Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre’s landmark basilica perched atop the city’s highest hill. From here, enjoy panoramic views and some of Paris’s best photo opportunities.
Take the metro to Île de la Cité
Next, ride the metro with your guide and get comfortable moving around Paris like a local. In under an hour, you arrive on Île de la Cité, the historic heart of the city where medieval Paris still feels close to the surface.
Follow your guide’s lead around Île de la Cité and the Notre-Dame (exterior)
Take in Notre-Dame Cathedral from the outside and learn about its long history and ongoing restoration. Just outside, stand at Point Zéro, the official centre of France’s road network, before continuing to the nearby Conciergerie to see its 14th-century clock, the oldest in Paris.
Hop back on the metro toward the Louvre
Then, hop back on the metro for a quick journey to the Louvre. Metro tickets are included, and your guide leads the way so no time is wasted hunting for the right line or dealing with the ticket machine.
Take a lunch break near the Louvre
Pause for lunch near the Louvre (at own expense). Ask your guide for recommendations; they know the best spots around.

Walking: You’ll definitely get your steps in on this walking tour of Paris. Expect a moderate amount of walking throughout the day, so a moderate level of fitness and comfortable shoes are recommended.
Please note: Entry into Notre-Dame Cathedral is not included on this tour. The order of the tour may vary depending on Louvre ticket times.
Bag policy: Large bags, backpacks, or suitcases over 55 x 35 x 20 cm are not permitted inside the Louvre Museum.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

Our tour was fantastic! Our tour guide Sara was so knowledgeable, entertaining, and helpful. We love The Tour Guy tours and will definitely schedule more in the future! Our only comment is: be sure to book tours that are provided by the Tour Guy guides. If you see a tour that says "provided by a trusted partner" - those are not nearly as professionally done.

We did Paris in a day for our short stay. Monica was our guide and she did a fantastic job leading us around the the sights and sounds of the City. She was very energetic and knowledgeable throughout our entire tour. This is the second Tour Guy (in a Day) tour we have taken as the other was in Rome. If you have limited time or want a guieded tour I highly reccomend them We have been very impressed on both our tours

This was a fun way to see Paris for the first time if you only have a day and you’re jet lagged. The guide was lovely and shared a trove of great history, art, culture and food tips. For those who want to be shown Paris and don’t want to figure out tickets, metros, map and history books- this is a good value and experience!

We had a fantastic time on this tour! Even though it was a walking tour, it never felt overly strenuous, and the pace was comfortable and enjoyable throughout. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, sharing interesting history and insights at every stop. The locations we visited were excellent, and the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. Every stop offered something unique, making the experience both engaging and memorable. The highlight for us was definitely the Louvre. It was incredible to see such an iconic museum in person. Overall, this was a well-organized and enjoyable tour that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area and learn more about its history and culture.

Lovely stroll (a little more than a stroll) through Paris. Fabio is a true bohemian…felt his passion as we walked through the streets of Monmartre. And we got a little surprise expose into real life as a Parisian in the streets near Notre Dame!!! Fabio was a wealth of knowledge and such a great guide.

The tour name shouldn't include the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame cathedral for simply doing a quick walk by. Most of us in our tour group thought that we were going to tour the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame and were disappointed that it wasn't the case.
