We loved this tour. My teenage daughter picked this one out and the whole family enjoyed it. Our 9 year old didn’t realize the bones were real until dinner that night. He is used to theme parks since we are from Florida so he was not scared at all. We didn’t hide that from him. I guess we all just assumed he knew. Anyhow, the was a funny dinner conversation. Fiona was great. I’d highly recommend this tour.

Fiona was the highlight. A hilarious Australian who has lived in Italy forever, she kept dropping the kind of weird, delightful Rome facts you immediately text someone about.
The only problem is there is not enough Fiona. The crypts are a programmed audio tour, and the catacombs are led by the official site guide, so you get forcibly separated from your favorite human for the main events, which felt rude. Luckily, Fiona comes back strong before and after, and she totally carries the walks and bus rides between stops.
Also, this tour includes skip the line. Do not go to either place without that unless you enjoy spending your vacation aging in a queue.
