Sample traditional baccalà (salted Cod) or supplì
After that, you'll stop for another beloved Roman street food. Depending on the day, you'll try either crispy supplì, a deep-fried rice croquette with a gooey mozzarella centre, or baccalà, lightly battered salted cod. As you snack, your guide will share the story behind these local favourites over another glass of regional wine.
Sit-down for a three-course Roman dinner

We went on the Trastevere Food Tour last night and had a wonderful time. Our guide Iralia was knowledgeable and personable, the group was small (only 9 plus our guide), the food was delicious and plentiful and the sights incredible. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting slightly off the beaten path of the usual Roman attractions and enjoys learning more about the local culture.

We'd really like to take a moment to especially thank our guide, Marilena ( I hope I spelled that correctly). We really enjoyed her insights on the area and loved each of the stops we made. By the end of the evening we felt like we had been taken care of by a family friend. This was a special way to take in some of the local culture! This food was the best , Marco knows his history every time we turned a corner he Or entered a piazza he had a story. His historical knowledge made this tour more than just about the food. This was an excellent tour, the best we have EVER done! Aubin was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He did not walk too fast and would stop to make sure everyone was keeping up. We all had a wonderful time. Our host was fantastic. She not only talked about the food we were eating and why it was special, but about Rome…Roman History and the context of everything. Our guide, Federica, was wonderful and so were the many foods and wines we sampled. I really enjoyed all the foods but it was nice to have the 2 course dinner and stay in one place for awhile.

This tour was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable not only about different Roman foods but about the areas we walked through. We had 4 different stops and tasted 4 different foods. The tour group consisted of only 8 people so it was easy to talk with everyone. I would highly recommend this tour.
