Your tour begins at Via di S. Giovanni in Laterano
Meet your friendly guide and group members in the heart of Rome, right near the impressive Basilica of San Giovanni. You'll hop into your fun 7-seater golf cart and get ready for a whirlwind adventure through the Eternal City.
Orange Garden, the secret keyhole, and ancient Circus Maximus
First up is the Orange Garden on Aventine Hill, where you'll catch sweeping views of terracotta rooftops stretching across the city. You'll peek through a hidden keyhole that frames St. Peter's Dome perfectly. Then it's down to Circus Maximus, the massive oval where ancient Romans watched chariot races.
Trastevere, Janiculum Terrace, and Vatican City
Your cart winds through Trastevere's cobblestone lanes, past street art and wine bars packed with locals. After climbing Janiculum Hill, you'll snap photos from the terrace overlooking the Tiber River snaking through domes and bell towers. From there, you'll roll into Vatican City to see St. Peter's Square and Basilica.
Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Venezia
The Pantheon's massive columns tower above you—this 2,000-year-old temple still has the world's largest unsupported concrete dome. Next, you'll pop out at the Trevi Fountain, where white marble statues and bright blue water create that movie-perfect scene. Then you're off to Piazza Venezia to see the giant monument with the king on horseback.
Mouth of Truth, Roman Forum, and Spanish Steps
You'll test your honesty at the Mouth of Truth, legend says the carved face bites liars' hands off. Cruise past the Roman Forum's crumbling temples and government buildings, once the center of ancient city life. Then you'll catch a glimpse of the Spanish Steps, 135 marble stairs climbing up to an Egyptian obelisk.
Villa Borghese, Piazza del Popolo, and Emperor Augustus's tomb
Time for a breather as you glide through Villa Borghese's shaded paths and manicured gardens—Rome's biggest park and a nice escape from the crowds. You'll emerge at Piazza del Popolo, the city's largest square, flanked by twin churches that look identical but aren't. Quick stop at Emperor Augustus's massive circular tomb before the grand finale.
Your tour finishes at Piazza Venezia
Your ride ends at the stunning Piazza Venezia, dominated by the massive white marble monument to Italy's first king. The Colosseum is just a short walk away if you want to keep exploring, or you can wander off to discover more of Rome's enchanting sites on your own.

Good to know:
Accessibility: This tour mostly takes place on a golf cart, but will occasionally require some walking if you’d like to get out and take photos of the attractions. The ability to board and exit the golf cart at relevant stops safely should be considered.
Weather Advisory: Bring rain gear and an extra layer if the weather looks questionable, as the vehicle is open-air.
Please Note: The itinerary may be affected by traffic conditions and queues on the day of your tour; if an attraction is too crowded, your driver may substitute it with an equally beautiful alternative.
Tour Changes: From November 1st to March 31st (low season), the tour lasts 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can depart on time.

What a fabulous time we had! Eugenio was excellent and so experienced that he made the various sites we saw come to life with his knowledge of the history of Rome. As well, he knew where to stop to get jaw dropping pictures and found places away from the many tourists. We had lots of fun and were never rushed. This experience turned out to be much more than we expected! Bravo Eugenio!!

Taking a golf cart tour was easily one of the best decisions we made in Rome! It is the absolute best way to navigate the city’s charming, narrow cobblestone alleys and see major highlights without the exhaustion of walking miles in the heat. Wonderful experience! We were able to change the pickup location to our hotel, great. Three guys arrived at the Indigo Hotel on time, gave all 12 of the group very detailed historic commentary. They were extremely polite and professional. Would absolutely recommend The Tour Guy for a terrific experience in Rome. Thanks for the memories

Our guide, whose name I forget, but he was a soccer player previously, was amazing. It was a great first day introduction to the city. We had a group ranging in age from 17 -84 and this was perfect for everyone. Could not recommend this tour enough.

Highly recommend! Tour guides were: excellent; knowledgeable; great story tellers and AWESOME golf cart drivers! So many sights with plenty of given time to explore them. Great tour to get an overview of Rome. The getting around on the bumpy roads merging with traffic and pedestrians was definitely part of the fun!

This was an awesome tour and with every penny. Eugenio, the driver and guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating, polite and courteous. After asking us, he calibrated the tour to avoid places we already visited. His knowledge was amazing and he helped us understand the before and now view of each place. I strongly recommend it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. In 4 hours we were able to see a lot of the city. He even stopped at a cafe for us to get some Italian coffee and of course, gelato!
