Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi Coast Day Trip from Rome

Loved the Pompeii tour, our guide Veronica was knowledgeable and interesting. It was fun to see Positano, very beautiful but also quite crowded with tourists.

Pompeii and Positano adventure

This was a good trip. The tour guide was difficult to understand at times. If you needed a bathroom, you had to ask every time and your guides seemed annoyed that you needed to go. It would have been nice to have some free time in Pompeii. Everything felt very rushed the whole day. I would have be willing to pay extra for a 2 day tour.

Amazing Day!

We had an amazing day! We started in Positano and had some time to explore on our own. Then we traveled to Pompeii. The history there was incredible. We recommend taking this tour. It was a long day, but well worth it!

Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi Coast Day Trip from Rome

I always wanted to see Pompei and the tour did not disappoint. Victoria (?) was knowledgeable and animated when going through the history and stories. I do apprecaite the use of the headphones so I didn't miss any narration even at the back of the pack. The trip to the Amalfi Coast and Positano were also great. Mario kept lively narration during the trip but also had quiet times to just enjoy the drive. The driver Jordy (?) was amazing espoecially navigating those narrove streets. The break at the Cassino for snacks and bathtoom breaks was nice but they need to improve the bathrooms since there were some non-working or non-existent flushing mechanism. They are going through renovations so hopefully, they will improve on that part. My husband and I like the whole tour nevertheless. The only thing I felt was a little disappointing was the switched of schedule from Pompei to Positano to Positano first then Pompei. I think it has to do with the temperature. We only had an hour an half in Positano which was already taken up by lunch. I didn't have the chance to go through the little shops which they had a lot of because we had to get back to the bus and it was a trek to get up from the beach area all the way up. Maybe if the original schedule was done, we would have more time. In any case, we still enjoyed it and highly recommend the tour. Thank you.

Great Trip!

Our guide Paula was great. Very informative and very accommodating. The driver was very professional and our Pompeii guide really knew her stuff.

This tour was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! From start to finish, everything was seamless, comfortable, and incredibly memorable. We were picked up in a spacious and comfortable bus that made the drive to both Positano and Pompeii easy and enjoyable. Our tour guides Valentino (our fantastic driver), Mario, and another wonderful gentleman whose name I unfortunately can’t recall—were with us the entire way and made the experience truly special. They were kind, funny, informative, and so thoughtful throughout the day. One of them even gave our 5-year-old son a pair of sunglasses, which absolutely made his day! When we gave him a tip in U.S. dollars, he was genuinely excited he said he saves all his U.S. money for when he visits America. It was such a sweet and personal moment that we won’t forget. At Pompeii, we had a dedicated tour guide named Sasha who was amazing. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also great with the kids in our group, including our son. She made ancient history come to life in such a fun, engaging way. If you have time in your itinerary, this tour is a must. From the breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast to the deep dive into history at Pompeii, everything was perfectly planned and executed. We are so thankful for the guides and memories from this day it was truly unforgettable.

Amazing Tour

I don't usually leave reviews but feel compelled to do so now. We took this tour a few days ago and it was nothing short of amazing. Our tour guide (forgot her name) was very informative and passionate about this area and about sharing the history of this beautiful country. My husbands hearing aid charger was lost during our trip over from the USA but the Tour Guy uses a Whisper hearing device for their customers which was a tremendous help so he and all the people on the tour could hear the guide with no problem. We highly recommend the Tour Guy and will definitely use the them again.

Sasha was an excellent excellent tour guide he had so much knowledge and presented in a very interesting way and educational way and in a fun way he had a great sense of humor but also presented and gave information that will stick in my brain forever because of his presentation what an excellent tour guide good job Sasha.

Best part of our trip to Italy

I was worried about taking such a long day trip from Rome, but shouldn't have. The Amalfi Coast was beautiful. We stopped several times - with our driver taking photos of the family (including selfies!). He even bought us granitas from a roadside stand! Pompeii was the height of our trip to Italy for my 14 and 11 yr old children and the tour guide did a fantastic job of engaging them. Highly recommend!

An Unforgettable Day

The Pompeii & Positano tour with The Tour Guy was amazing! Our guide brought ancient Pompeii to life and the coastal charm of Positano was breathtaking. Everything was perfectly organized, making for an unforgettable day. Highly recommended!
