We had an incredible food tour discovering hidden culinary gems that truly showcase the region's rich flavors. Each stop was a delightful experience! The variety of dishes included traditional coffee, pizza, pasta, gelato and even a truffle tasting - it was simply amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, making the tour both informative and fun. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to savor the authentic tastes of Rome!

This is a foodie's dream tour and then some! Concentrating on the neighborhood of Prati which is lined by the outer walls of The Vatican, you get the coveted opportunity to eat where the locals do, not just in a tourist neighborhood! You start off with a fabulous tasting that includes hand picked wines and salumeria items curated by the owner of the La Nicchia Cafe. (Ladies, get here early as the salon two doors down has the cheapest hairstyling and nails in all of the Rome!) You will also get to shop rare items sold by the La Nicchia Cafe which includes world class balsamic vinegar and truffle spread made in small batches and which are very reasonably priced! Next stop is an over 100 year old salumeria called Paciotti that has been in a family for five generations. There will be all sorts of prosciutto and other fine cold meats and cheeses served. The owners are hysterically funny and you will get a bit of a "show" from them that includes getting a bottle of bubbly popped in an unusual way! Several different types of wines hand picked by your host Stephanie Weber (who lives in Prati) will blow you away upon tasting them! Also in the mix is a pizza place called Bonci owned by a Michelin starred chef that people line up for hours to get into--but you won't have to! Two different types of pizza will be waiting for you and you will eat them outdoors just like the locals. Also included in this unforgettable experience is a fabulous local and highly authentic resto called Il Segreto and a gelato spot called Pompi started in 1960 that will make you go back for seconds and thirds. The Roman Food Tour features leisurely walking so people on any fitness level can do it and it is undoubtedly the best food bargain in all of Rome. Eating in all these places on your own would actually cost much more than the price of the tour ticket. Rating: A

This was without a doubt the highlight of our visit to Rome. Stefania has an infectious personality which really added value to the food and wine, which was plentiful, delicious and memorable. Stefania went out of her way to make people feel welcome and nothing was left to chance. Stefania rallied the group when a rain bomb threatened to derail the evening. So professional and passionate about Prati and what it has to offer.
Really amazing food tour

You'll have everything from pizza to prosciutto plus gourmet goodies that you have never heard of before on this tour and guide Stephanie Weber is amazing! She is from the area and has close connections to all the shops and restos that you will visit so tpur guests get the best of the best! This is a great deal for the money and the Prato neighborhood is foodie paradise and a real neighborhood, not a tourist type area! Definitely take this tour!

I have taken over ten food tours (3 in the last 4 weeks) and this one the best. Lucy was our guide and was both friendly and informative. She described the food and origins of what we were eating and talked about the area of Rome while we were moving from location to location. We tried multiple pestos, wines, cheeses, pizzas, gelato, and fresh pasta. Every bite was delicious. Italian food from Rome had ruined me when comparing the food to US Italian food.
This is a great dinner. In fact, eat a very light lunch because there is so much food. This was our last day of our vacation and I cannot think of a better way to end it.
Thanks Lucy for a wonderful evening.
Great Food Tour with Lucy!

This was a great food experience and we learned a lot about local Italian food and history. The selection of food and venues was close and varied as well as fun. Luca was the perfect tour guide with being a local and fun to be with. We also met great people on the tour and look forward to keeping in touch with them. I would highly recommend this tour.

Stephania was knowledgeable about the area and was able to knit together 3 couples who did not know each other. The shopkeepers know her well and go above expectations for her clients.
wonderful experience

This tour was one of the best tours I did while in Rome (and that's saying a lot, as we did 7 tours that day--the Prati tour was the last). The food was amazing & our tour guide, Chiara, was so friendly and informative. I brought back authentic olive oil, balsamic vinegar and all kinds of spreads & pestos. She explained how the wines are rated, which helped me purchase an excellent bottle of wine later in my trip, that I also took home. My friends and family are most appreciative of the food gifts I brought home, lol. Not only was our tour guide so fun, but the restaurants we visited treated us like VIPs. I highly, highly recommend this tour for those who want to experience a taste of Italy!!
