This day trip was so worthwhile it really was the highlight of our trip. We were picked up by Tiziano early in the morning, he came right on time and drove us to Pompeii by 9.30am. Sasha our guide was waiting for us, and took us straight in - no queue. Sasha is an amazing guide. His father was a tour guide in Pompeii for 45 years, so he grew up there and knows everything. He made it all so interesting and fun. It was a wonderful visit, and our 16 year old daughter loved it too. Tiziano then drove us along the beautiful coast road to Sorrento, where we had time for lunch and a walk around Sorrento, which is a really fantastic place to visit. It was a long day, but everything went so smoothly and we were back in Rome before 6pm. This is quite a pricey tour, but it is SO worth it if you want to see Pompeii properly and find out all the hidden stories and places, plus the chance to see one of the most beautiful towns on the Amalfi coast. Really well organised and highly recommended.

Just wonderful. Our driver was very nice and very prompt which was great. Our guide at Pompeii (romolo) was just fantastic. He was highly knowledgeable and clearly loved the site. He had humor (which we greatly appreciate) and made it a fun two hours. We saw a ton, but as he admitted not everything. BUT that was perfect! As he showed us and was wonderfully honest about ….you don’t need to see every restaurant remain to know what they looked like. We got the Pompeii experience without spending the entire day there. Sorrento was lovely but given the horrid traffic getting there, I wish we had gotten more then basically two hours. The time lost to traffic was sorely missed. Also in Pompeii…maybe find a way to allow 10min in the bookstore? As folks who collect things from trips to make memory boxes, we would have loved to be able to stop in.

My husband, teen daughters and I enjoyed an absolutely incredible morning exploring Pompeii. Our guide Claudia was fantastic and knowledgable. I have been to Italy before and have missed out on Pompeii. If you are traveling in Italy, POMPEII should NOT be missed! I will never forget it. Our drivers, Andreas and Claudia (a different Claudia) were friendly, helpful and safe. We had an excellent lunch in the adorable town of Sorrento.

The trip to Pompeii and Sorrento was fantastic. Our van driver, John-Marco ( I think), was great. The drive was smooth and went pretty quickly. Once we arrived at Pompeii, Meina (Sp?), was our tour guide. She was friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. We learned so much from her and had a great time.
Sorrento was beautiful! We had great pizza and pasta. We shopped and ate gelato. I couldn't have been happier! I definitely recommend this trip!

We had a fabulous day in Pompeii and Amalfi coast/Sorento, also visited a Limoncello factory. John Luca was our driver and Claudia was our tour guide in Pompeii. The ruins of Pompeii - fabulous and the work continues!! Claudia very knowledgeable!! Sorrento beautiful, great lunch and alittle shopping! Very fun tour of Limoncello factory -a fun addition! Highly recommend! 🙏
Amazing Experience
What a glorious experience! Our wonderful driver, Daniele picked us up at 7am and from then on it was one big visual feast.
Sasha, our guide in Pompeii, was an absolute wealth of information, and brought to life an ancient 2000 year old city.
We couldn’t have had a better experience, one that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Italy!
We capped the day with a couple hours in beautiful Sorrento, shopping and catching in the gorgeous scenery, and after a late lunch, we were driven back to Rome and our hotel.
A long and tiring day, but we’ll worth the visit!!! Highly recommended!!!!
