Terrific Tour

My daughter and I got so much out of our tour with Frederica. She was so knowledgeable & enthusiastically shared all she knew about ancient architecture, history, and relationships with us. In addition, she easily responded to our interests & questions. Our tour included churches, synagogues, ancient ruins, the ghetto, and other sites of interest. Very comprehensive. Early churches and Jewish Temple and delicacies

Our guide was superb. He guided us through three important churches in the area with historical context to appreciate them. He told us the history of the area and detailed the challenges the Jewish community faced from ancient to more modern times. Moving to see the remembrance stones honoring those taken to Auschwitz and the few who survived. Also the history of the five synagogues joining into a single Temple which stands along the Tiber. We enjoyed a Jewish pastry and delicious unique way of making pizza. We also had a history lesson and the monuments Augustus placed for his sister and nephew. Thanks for a rich and rewarding excursion!

Excellent and informative tour

Michele (Mike) was a terrific guide through the Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. We learned a great deal about how this part of Rome was settled, the way the Romans mitigated annual flooding disasters by the Tiber (Tevere), as well as how the Jewish population was treated by both the Roman Catholic leaders and the secular Republic that came into power in the late 1800s. A great way to end our stay in Rome! Thank you Roman Guy!

Great Tour!!

We had the private Trastevere to Jewish Ghetto tour on our first day in Rome. Our guide, Frank, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He went at a reasonable rate and talked to us about everything we saw without overloading our jet-lagged brains. He answered all our questions - and in fact often said something that I was just about to ask. If you want to see beautiful churches, go into a cripta paleocristiana under a church, walk down quintessential Italian lanes, take many, many pictures, engage your brain and understand history, this is the tour for you! We had a great tour and we would HIGHLY recommend this experience!!

Stroll through History

This was a great tour for our 5th day in Rome. We did it in September which made it so nice. I feel like the places we went had such interesting history, but there were no other tourists. What a perfect day! Our guide Fabiola was excellent and really knew her Jewish - Roman history. Thanks again!
