Explore the 1st and 2nd tiers of the Colosseum
Walk through the Colosseum’s first and second levels with your guide, pausing to look down into the underground chambers below. Explore the Palatine Hill

Good to know:
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended, as you’ll be walking on uneven terrain.
Accessibility: Due to uneven terrain and historic surfaces, this tour isn’t suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. A soft baby carrier is recommended. For guests with mobility concerns we recommend to consider joining our Private Colosseum Tour.
ID Requirement: A valid government-issued ID is required to enter the Colosseum. The name on your ticket must match your ID or entry may be denied.
Tour Changes: Depending on the assigned entry time for the Colosseum, your tour might enter the Roman Forum first and end in the Colosseum. It is also possible this tour might run in reverse. Either way, you’ll enjoy the full experience with your guide.
Children: All visitors, regardless of age, need a ticket for the Colosseum. Each child’s ticket must match their government-issued ID. Passports are recommended.
Disability certification: Visitors with valid disability certification are eligible for a reduced €2 entry ticket to the Colosseum, which also applies to one companion. Contact us after booking to arrange this. This applies to the ticket cost only, not the tour price.
Bag Policy: For quicker entry, please leave large backpacks and wheeled bags at your accommodation as they aren’t permitted inside the Colosseum. All bags will be screened at security.
Lines: This tour includes group access to the Colosseum, allowing you to skip the main lines for individual visitors. You’ll still pass through a security check before entering, which may involve a short wait.
Check-in: Please arrive 15 minutes early so your group can enter right on time and make the most of your visit.

The crowds were large but our guide Nora did a great job of keeping our group together and describing the Coloseum and surrounding area. She was very knowledgeable, interesting!

This tour was really interesting and you see so much of the Colosseum, Palentine Hill, and the Forum. 3 hrs went by quickly! Matteo our guide was very engaging and made the tour great! Also very nice to skip the long lines! Would definitely recommend.

Meeting point was easy to find, but proper benches would improve arrival and waiting for the tour start. Guide was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. Provided great background information. It was breathtaking to visit the Colosseum in person, and the details provided definitely added to the experience. Our tour guide really helped us to visualize the forum. Her knowledge was outstanding and she was engaging and humourous. We really appreciated the limited size of our tour group.

We had an excellent experience on the Privileged Entrance Colosseum Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job answering all of our questions. The tour went well beyond just seeing the sights — we learned so much in-depth history and gained a much better understanding of what life was like during ancient Rome. The guide was engaging, informative, and clearly passionate about the history, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We really enjoyed our tour with Daniele! He provided a lot of information and showed pictures to supplement our learnings. He was also really receptive to questions. We appreciated him protecting other tourists by asking those people trying to sell stuff at the doors to be less aggressive and bringing it to the attention of police. It was at times hard to hear but not his fault - the Colosseum is just busy! This is a great tour that’s well worth the time and it’s nicely executed, especially for first timers. Thanks for organizing!
