Use pre-reserved tickets to enter the Colosseum

Good to know:
Dress Code: Comfortable attire and shoes are recommended for walking on uneven terrain.
Accessibility: This tour involves ancient ground and uneven terrain. It is unfortunately not wheelchair or stroller accessible. A soft baby carrier is recommended. The Colosseum has very steep stairs, if you expect to need to use the elevator on this tour, please contact us in advance, so the guide can prepare accordingly.
ID Requirement: Please bring a valid government-issued ID for entrance into the Colosseum. The name on your tickets (entered at check-out) must match the name listed on your government-issued ID or you will be refused entry. After booking this tour, you’ll hear from our friendly Travel Experts who’ll ask to confirm your birthday and your name according to your passport.
Tour Changes: Depending on the assigned entry time for the Colosseum, your tour might enter the Roman Forum first and end in the Colosseum. All underground tour times are subject to change due to ticketing. Please keep the date of your tour flexible.
Children: All children, no matter the age, are required to have a ticket to enter the Colosseum. The name on the child's ticket must match the name listed on their government issued-ID or they will be refused entry. Passports are recommended as a form of ID.
Disability certification: As per Colosseum ticketing rules, guests who possess a disability certification may enter the Colosseum with a ticket cost of €2. This price also applies to one companion. A disability card must be presented to Colosseum staff on the day of the visit. If this applies to you or your party, please contact us after booking the tour to make the proper pricing adjustments and claim access to the disability entrance. Please note, this price applies to the cost of tickets, not the cost of the tour.
Bag Policy: The Colosseum allows small to medium-sized bags, but large backpacks, suitcases, and wheeled bags are prohibited and must be left behind. All bags are subject to security screening, similar to an airport.
Security Check: Every person entering the Colosseum, including those with pre-reserved tickets, is required to go through an airport style security check.
Please Note: Tours starting after 6 PM do not include entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. These tours include a 1.5 hour overview of the Roman Forum from above. Entry tickets will be provided at check-in to see the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill during opening hours at your leisure.
Cancellations: Colosseum Underground tours are very exclusive and are subject to changes, but we’re experts in this field and have staff dedicated to ensuring the best possible customer experience. If we are unable to acquire tickets on your behalf, we will let you know at least 14 days before your tour date, in which case we'll add you to a comparable tour or offer a full refund.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

We were instructed to be at the meeting point by 8:30 am and the tour would start at 8:45. The staff did not show up until 8:50. He checked us in and told us the tour would get started at 9. Finally our guide arrived and we walked over to the colosseum. Once inside, our guide did an excellent job giving us the tour and covering the history. The underground was excellent to see. I highly recommend this tour!

This was an incredible tour! It was well paced and we heard so much incredible history thanks to our guide Manuela (I may be spelling that incorrectly). She also did an excellent job finding spots in the shade and having water breaks which were extremely needed in the heat wave. The Colosseum was amazing to see and the underground part of the tour was definitely worth it! The only problems we had was that our tour time was changed twice. We had originally booked for the morning but got asked to move to the afternoon. Our schedule allowed for that flexibility so it didn’t bother us, but it was a bit unexpected. However the team was great about communicating the new start time and information.

Highly recommend this tour. We booked the underground option, but the Colosseum canceled that option last minute. Barring that, the entire tour covering the Roman Forum, Colosseum and the Last Supper all in the same tour was excellent. The tour guide was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable.
