This tour was worth every penny. Seeing the underground part of the Colosseum gave a whole different perspective. James from Barcelona was awesome, very patient and knowledgeable and fun to be with. A great experience!

Franca was an excellent guide, full of information. The only thing that disappointed us is that we booked on the basis that we'd finish in the Forum and could stay in there as long a we wanted but we actually went there first and couldn't go back. We ended up paying to go back into the Forum so we could see it all. For the price of our ticket, this is not what we expected to have to do. Overall though, the tour was great.

This tour was so much more than what we were expecting and worth every penny! Our guide was outstanding, so knowledgeable and easy-going. We had access to areas that the crowds didn’t, and our group was only our party of 4 and another couple! Practically private! It was unforgettable and highly recommended!!

Easy access through the crowds to the tunnels under the Colosseum, rising to each level with a great guide explaining the original, old, and newer architecture of the building. Seeing is a first step but knowing what you are seeing makes the experience even better.

Marianna was our beautiful, charming and passionate guide who brought the Coloseum to life for our small group.
She effortlessly overcame any challenges and brought a smile to everyone she encountered.
We learned sooo much and the underground area of the Coloseum was mind blowing. We were lucky also to enter the Emperor's wife Livia's house and every few steps there was something interesting.
We just loved it all!

The semi-private Colosseum tour with underground is the way to go. Our guide was great and it was truly a VIP experience. With thousands of people at the Colosseum we were the only 7 people taken through a private gate and into the underground. VIP treatment continued on the main floor with a private roped off walkway to the arena floor. Our group of 7 all agreed this was one of the main highlights of our Italy trip.

We loved this tour, not too long at 3 hours but crams a lot of history into that time. It did move fast so you have to be aware and keep with the group as it’s easy to get lost amid the throngs of tourists. We had a small group of 7 and an amazing guide, Mariana, who was knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about the history. The underground is a must see, absolutely amazing!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. He gave in-depth explanations of why and how everything was built. He also described what is was like to be alive back then, which mage the tour even better.

This tour with underground access was awesome! Having underground access allowed us to see more with less crowds - we felt like VIPs. Also, I tour guide, Bogdan was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and made the tour super fun!
