My husband and I went on the tour with our guide David. David was awesome and super knowledgeable on the history of the Colosseum and forum. He gave us a couple opportunities to rest while he dove deeper into the hows and whys and made sure we had the best, unobstructed views for some solid photo ops. He took a little time to get to know everyone in the group (insurance, Ohio) and exchange witty banter. The tour was 3 hours but I could have kept listening for many more. His information made it easy to imagine what a day at the Colosseum looked like. By the time we came up from the underground onto the arena floor, my own heart was thudding like I was about to enter a gladiator fight thanks to him. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved our underground colosseum tour plus the Roman forum and palatine hill! Our tour guide Claudia, was very knowledgeable, interactive, and personable! She provided great perspective of Ancient Roman times and even took the group to more private areas for a special look at the architecture. Would highly recommend this tour as it was also a smaller, more manageable group size.

We had Enriquo as our guide and he was spectacular! Being an archeologist he was full of knowledge about the Colosseum and the Palestine Forums. Even though it rained he was still such a trooper. I specially liked our VIP treatment of the underground, then a private area on the second floor finishing up by in the forums in that area. Highly recommend this tour, in particular if you are a history person you will be in heaven!

Well worth it! Marina was incredible. She was personable humble and SO knowledgeable on the tour. I am 55 and she is possibly the best tour guide I have ever had. She was never rushed and answered all our questions thoroughly. I could not have been more impressed with her breadth and depth of knowledge.
If you get the Colosseum tour, read the meeting place instructions carefully. I would recommend arriving 20 minutes early. The green Kiosk they talk about is on the lower level of the metro stop right in front of the Coloseum. It is an octagonal (i think) shaped small building and the meeting side is on the opposite side of the door.
Keep an eye on what’s app because they may try to contact you there if you were lost like us.
Well worth the money. Give that guide a raise, seriously. She single-handedly is making me switch from Victor to TripAdvisor to the “Tourguy”. At the very least I will look for them on our travels. Well done.

We had a wonderful tour of the Colosseum & Underground and surrounding Forum and Palatine Hill area with Elisibetta. She was on time, very knowledgeable, super personable and a great guide. We truly enjoyed it and would absolutely recommend! The Colosseum really is mind blowing. Seeing it from the outside is awesome, but getting to go inside, underground, walk different levels and see the exhibits is amazing. Well worth the time and money!
