You’ll meet your friendly driver in Piazzale Ostiense, ready to begin your unique Roman adventure aboard a vintage Piaggio Ape Calessino.
Pyramid of Caius Cestius
As you leave the meeting point, you’ll pass by this striking pyramid, an ancient Egyptian-style monument built over 2,000 years ago as a tomb for a Roman magistrate.

Accessibility: You'll need to be able to climb and descend the ape calessino. If you have any doubts about your mobility, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you, as this private tour can be adapted to your needs.
Age Restriction: This tour is only available for adults aged 18 and above.
Dietary Restrictions: Please contact us in advance with any dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs during the food stops. A complete meal is not included, but there will be two food tastings.
Please Note: This Appian Way tour offers a scenic and historical experience, but it is not a fully guided tour. Your driver will share interesting facts about the areas visited. This tour only includes entry to Santo Stefano Rotondo, if open on the day of your tour. All other monuments are viewed from the exterior.
Dress Code: Modest attire is required for entry into Santo Stefano Rotondo, meaning shoulders and knees should be covered.
Tour Changes: From November 1st to March 31st (low season), the tour lasts 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours. Due to traffic and events that may occur in Rome, the exact itinerary stops are subject to change.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.
