This was a great tour. We live in Italy and had friends visiting. We have seen all the sights multiple times but our friends only had 48 hours to spend in Rome. This tour was perfect for checking off all the boxes and getting their bearings of Rome the first day so the second day they could go back and explore the areas that interested them at a leisurely pace. It was raining which was unlucky but I'd rather be exploring Rome with a guide in the rain than trying to navigate it myself in the rain. The guide did a good job of trying to keep us out of the rain as much as possible. And, for the price it is a great value to see all the main sites of Rome.

Highly recommend this tour for first time Rome visitors such as myself. The amount of information, sites and of course time saved from not waiting in line was well worth it. My tour guide, Erturk, was beyond amazing. Highly knowledgeable and personable and made the experience perfect. Even despite the rain he made sure everyone stayed dried while still giving us a tour. There is something special about walking through Rome while hearing a personal guide share all the historical info. I highly recommend the tour and the guide Erturk. Made my first visit to Rome memorable.

This tour is perfect for travelers who have a short time to spend in Rome, but want to see the most while they are there. Be prepared for A LOT of walking and standing. We knew this going in, however there were some older guests in our group that didn't account for how strenuous this tour can be especially when walking on uneven cobblestone. Erturk, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and patient. He offered some alternative routes for the guests having some mobility issues. Because there are so many stops on this one-day tour, there was not a lot of time to see everything, however, for the Vatican Museums, Sistine chapel, and Colosseum, I felt we had enough time to enjoy and view the art, architecture, and culture. What nobody warns you of is the crowds everywhere. We traveled in what we were told is the "off-season" and even though we didn't expect empty streets and attractions, we didn't expect the amount of people everywhere. This of course has nothing to do with the tour itself, I am just putting the warning out there for anyone traveling here and wanting to see the popular sites. The Trevi fountain was difficult to see because of the crowds as was parts of the Vatican, and the Pantheon. I had thought this tour took you inside the Pantheon, however, it does not. It is just a walk by it. The lines to get in were very long and I can see why there would not have been time. If you have more than a couple days in Rome, I recommend splitting up this tour and visiting the Vatican and Colosseum on separate days, however, if you have just a short amount of time, this tour will get you to all the sites and spend the most time at the spots that really need it.
Saw it all in one day

My family and I took this tour so that our niece and nephew that had never been to Italy could get a good overview of the city. We hit all the highlights in an informative yet quick manner. It’s a lot to see and it’s impossible to see it all, but this tour gave us/them a good idea of the highlights of the city. Our tour guide Fabrizzio was fantastic. He was funny, informative, and patient with all our questions. You’d need another day or three to actually stop everywhere, but this tour is great for your first time in Rome.

We spent the day with Monica and she was amazing! Our group included small children and throughout the tour Monica ensured that our children were safe and happy. She took time to answer all of our questions and taught us so much about Rome and Italy. We highly recommend Monica and this tour. Thanks for a great day!
Great guide but too much to see in one day

Monica was a great guide, lots of great information and stories. I loved the Roman forum, the colosseum, and the Trevi fountain. The only reason I had to drop a star was because the pacing was uncomfortable. We started leisurely walking through the Vatican museum, but after the Sistine chapel we had to all but sprint out and missed a lot of cool artifacts to look at on the way, we didn’t get to see a lot of things in the Vatican so I’d highly recommend doing that as its own day/experience. We also only got to see the pantheon from the outside, so that was slightly disappointing that we didn’t have time to go inside. Despite the sore feet standing/walking on cobblestones all day, I thought the last half of the route was the best part (fountain, forum, colosseum), where we walked calmly through and Monica told us great stories of how Rome has changed and reused itself to rebuild itself.

We learned so much on this tour that gave a richness to these historical sites. Plus it was really nice to have a whole day of not having to worry about logistics that come with international travel and just be a part of the group. The one advice I have is that our meeting location was changed 24 hours in advance of the tour and we were sent an email but it didn't mention the change. It just said -don't forget about your tour and here is a link to the voucher. Since I had already printed the voucher, I didn't click the link again and so didn't see the location was changed for meeting. The staff on site did their best to connect us with the group and ultimately, we found them in the Roman Forum, but that was really stressful and I think something The Tour Guy could fix in their communication. That had nothing to do with our guide though, who was kind and so knowledgeable.
