Maria was a great guide. She had a nice sense of humor and kept things light. I was with my two teenage children, she kept them engaged. The tour was very long and it was hot.

We had an incredible experience on our “Rome in a Day” tour, and much of that is thanks to our fantastic guide, Carolina. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought so much passion to every stop—from the Colosseum to the Vatican Museums. Carolina’s storytelling brought ancient history to life and made the day not only informative but truly memorable. She kept our group moving smoothly, answered every question with insight, and made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight. Highly recommend this tour—and especially Carolina—to anyone wanting to experience the best of Rome in a day!

When we booked this tour, we did not realize how much walking there would be. We walked about 4 miles so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and take water. Our tour guide was Loretta (English version of her Italian name) and she was excellent. This 7 hour tour had a lot of stops and she kept us on schedule. We saw the Colosseum, but to really see it completely, we needed a 2nd tour. There is just so much time you can stay at each site in one tour. We say the Trevi fountain. Keep in mind that on Mondays, the fountain is dry for weeks draining. It starts refilling in the afternoon, so plan accordingly. We also saw an archeological area of the Imperial Forum, which was very interesting. We stopped for lunch (not provided) at an area with lots options. Not much time for shopping because we only had an hour for lunch. Between sites, Loretta stopped to show us landmarks and she shared history. Next we went by air conditioned vans (thank goodness) for a drive to the Vatican. Our tickets allowed us to skip the LONG line to enter. We had a specific time to enter so that is why Loretta was so careful to keep us on schedule. The Vatican is huge and we were there about an hour for some of the grounds and museum before entering the Sistine Chapel. Be aware that the length of our tour did not allow us time to see the museum in its entirety. That would require that you visit on your own on another day. Because of the schedule, we were given only 10 minutes in the Sistine Chapel. Due to the huge crowd and the fact that no one is allowed to take pictures, this was adequate. There is just so long we were able to look up at the ceiling without feeling uncomfortable. Loretta gave us the option to leave the tour and stay longer, but we would miss the final stops, which were St. Peter's Square and Basilica. We opted to stay with the tour. We learned a lot while standing in the Square. The tour ended with her taking everyone tothe Bascilla entrance, but that part was on our own. The tour ended at the Square. This was an outstanding tour and should not be missed.

We had Carolina for this tour - she was wonderful. We had only one day to see the sights so this was a great tour for us. On the walking tour we did have a bit of rain, but it didn't ruin the day. We had a great time.

Paola Pagan was an excellent guide with interesting and amusing stories. We saw the highlights, but really, can Rome be seen in a day? Since we only had 2 days in Rome, we did try. Thank you for a fun day Paola.

If you only have a day or two like we did, and want to avoid the huge lines and have someone shepherd you through the intense crowds this tour is worth every penny. Our tour guide Marzia was very knowledgeable, energetic and charismatic. Beware if you are not in good shape as there is lots of walking and stairs, and there also should be a minimum and maximum age limit for all participants. It is too long for young children to hold their attention and too strenuous for the elderly. There are no strollers allowed in any of the venues. If parents aren’t attentive as was the case in our tour group, it detracted from the experience since Marzia had to remind the family multiple times to help their children and grandfather follow instructions and keep together as a group.

This was one of our favorite tours. We were able to see all the major sites in Rome and learned so much. We were able to quickly enter each site. Our guide was Erturk, and he did a fantastic job! He was extremely knowledgeable. He stayed past our tour end time to answer questions. After our tour, he showed us how to enter St. Peter’s Basillica, which was closed to our tour group because of the new Pope, and how to get a taxi back to our B&B. We LOVED it all!
Great Tour!

We had one day to fit it all in and we’re so glad we got Erturk as our guide. It is clear that the history of Rome is his passion and that he enjoys telling others about it. When he says he could spend days talking about one particular part of the tour, we believe him. He ran a smooth and organized tour, helping us get past much of the crowd with great efficiency!
