I don’t think it could have gone any better. From the moment we met the guides to the history lesson about Spain we received on our way to Montserrat, everything was exceptional. The guided tours, with free time in between, were perfectly paced. The menu was delicious, and to top it off, we tasted three amazing wines before heading back to Barcelona. You could tell that everyone in the group was happy and enjoying the day. Don’t hesitate to book this Montserrat tour, you won’t be disappointed!

Gus was a fabulous tour guide! The day started with meeting at Barcelona Nord, which was easy to navigate. Then onto Monserrat where we received an informative and friendly tour to introduce us to the gorgeous mountain. Then free time to explore. The hike to the cross was breathtaking! Then on to the organic family owned winery that was so charming and beautiful. Thanks for an amazing tour!

We booked this tour through Tour Guy and as with other tours purchased through the Tour Guy, we enjoyed every minute of it. The tour was delivered by Castle Experience Tours and their guides. Yerai from Castle Experience Tours was a wonderful guide throughout the day. During our bus ride Yerai and Judith (who was guiding a second tour on the same bus) filled us in on the history of Barcelona and the Catalan language. The Basilica at Montserrat was beautiful and we learned about the Black Madonna (la Moreneta) the patron saint of Montserrat. Then we went on to Oller del Mas winery where we enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch accompanied by one of their wines. This was followed by a wine tasting of three other wines and the opportunity to purchase other wines they produce. It was a lovely setting in a family-owned winery. Different from other bus tours we have taken this one required us change buses after every stop in order for the tour operators to combine passengers from other Castle Experience Montserrat Tours. Therefore eliminating the option to leave larger parcels on the bus while you are walking around to explore the area. Overall the tour was worth the day spent in Montserrat.

We just got back from a 30 day tour of Israel, Greece, Italy and Barcelona. Of all the tours we took, this was the best of them, Guides were knowledgeable and fun. A rare occurrence with tour guides. Perfect amount of time at Montserrat and the wine tour was perfect way to finish the day. I would not have changed anything.

Our complements and praise to Susana, Bell and MJ for making this a memorable tour. I don't know how much they get paid, but it should be more! Their enthusiasm, interesting stories, great sense of humor and coordination of schedule and activities was the best! I will definitely recommend this tour to any of my friends who are spending time in Barcelona!

For our last day of a long trip to the Mediterranean and in Barcelona- this was a fantastic trip. Our guide Toni was phenomenal. The bus was very comfortable, all the guides were funny and very knowledgeable on history. Monserrat Abby is a gorgeous must see, and the lovely winery, tour and 3 course lunch delicious. Highly recommend this tour and Toni!

A long day but enjoyable- would be nice for the wine owners or workers in the winery to give a tour of the winery and participate in the tasting, rather than the tour guides. At the meeting point you should be informed prior to the trip to book in with castle tours instead of stating that the tour guide will meet you - only at the last minute did we realise we had to book in with a different company!
