Meet your guide at Barcelona North Bus Station
Your tour begins at Estació del Nord where you will meet your guide and group. Board a comfortable air-conditioned shuttle for a scenic journey through the rolling Catalonian countryside toward the jagged Montserrat peaks.
Explore the Montserrat Monastery sanctuary
Next, you will arrive at the 11th-century Benedictine abbey perched on the mountainside. Your guide shares the history of the monastery while you admire the striking architecture and the dramatic cliffs surrounding this sacred site.
Hike the trails or visit the Black Madonna
Then, enjoy two hours of free time to explore the mountain at your own pace. You can hike to the Sant Miquel cross for panoramic views, browse the local market, or visit the famous Black Madonna statue.
Indulge in a three-course Catalonian lunch
By the time hunger sets in, you will head to a traditional restaurant in the foothills. Sit down for a hearty, seasonal meal featuring three courses of authentic regional cuisine, perfectly paired with local wine to recharge after your morning exploration.
Sample organic wines at a local vineyard
Finally, you will visit a centuries-old winery to learn about the region's unique terroir. After a walk through the vines, participate in a guided tasting of three organic wines, discovering the delicate notes that make Catalonian viticulture famous.
Your tour finishes at Barcelona North Bus Station
Your tour finishes back at the original meeting point in central Barcelona. You will arrive in the early evening, feeling refreshed by the mountain air and ready to enjoy a night in the city with recommendations from your guide.

Alcohol Consumption: The tour includes a 3-course lunch with wine and a wine tasting. Participants must be 18 or older to drink alcohol in Spain.
Please Note: To get to the monastery, you will be transported in a vehicle from Barcelona.The funicular (tickets not included), which goes further up the mountain from the monastery, is available to ride during free time. The funicular does not operate in January or February. This tour also allows time to visit the Black Madonna statue. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance due to long lines.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can begin the tour on time.

Our tour was wonderful - we enjoyed everything about stunning Monserrat and the winery was lovely and our meal was delicious. Many thanks to our guides Yaria and Montse who were knowledgeable and kept everyone on track. It was heatwave when we went and we all were grateful for the AC on the bus! It was our one day outside of Barcelona and I’m so glad we did it and ventured beyond the city. I highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed the trip to Montserrat- it’s definitely a must-see if you are in Barcelona! Breathtakingly beautiful & a very spiritual place. If you’re not spending your time hiking, I definitely recommend seeing the Black Madonna & hearing the boys choir, if you have time. Our tour guide, Delph, gave us so many good tips- even sent us a 5-page doc afterwards with her food recommendations & tips for our visit- Thanks again Delph! And Hi Bebe!

We had such a great time and celebrated our third anniversary at Montserrat! We did the full day with the lunch and winery and would do it again! The full day gave us enough time to take the funicular up the mountain then we hiked to the top!! We had time to enjoy the cheese market and the rest of the scenery. The lunch was delicious and the winery was great! The best part of the tour was our group of guides. We had Ale in the morning, and Thais in the afternoon. Both were funny & engaging (but not too over the top like some guides can be). We loved them! We sat next to Thais during lunch and she visited with us the whole time and entertained all of our questions, she was great! Michela was also awesome. We got to chat with her when we had some free time after the wine tasting and learn more from a local which is always the best part of these tours. We appreciated our tour so much and had a great anniversary 🥰
