Your day begins promptly early in the afternoon in front of the Sagrada Familia, where you’ll meet your guide and fellow explorers for the day. Gaudí started its construction in 1882 and dedicated over 40 years of his life to the Sagrada Familia, and yet, it still remains unfinished. At the time of his passing, only one of the facades, the Nativity Facade, was largely finished, along with one tower. But it wasn’t for lack of effort. The intricate designs dreamed up by Gaudí made for a slow process, and while his passing in 1926 left the project in a state of uncertainty, construction has continued and today you’ll see a very nearly finished church.

Now that you’ve had the chance to admire the exterior of the Sagrada Familia, it’s time to head inside.
