The BEST Tours with the Trianon Estate

Our tour guide was very professional and had a good plan on how to fit in all of the important features of the palace. She was well versed in the history and the information she gave put the history in context. Organization was perfect, we left and returned in time. The bus was very comfortable. Definitely recommend this tour for any first trip to Versailles.

Our guide, Veronica, was very well informed about the relevant French history and the lives of the people who lives at Versailles. She was always articulate and clear in telling us what she knew. She handled well some challenges with the train schedule. She kept the group together and ensured we knew what we needed to know to safely enjoy the trip.

Had the pleasure of Nirvana for the tour of Versailles. Nirvana was very knowledgeable and provided a great insight to the history of Versailles. Our guide Melanie, was terrific. She was super knowledgeable and got us through the main palace without feeling rushed but efficient.

Guide was a no show and we ended up waiting for a lot of time. The replacement guide was a good guy however his English was extremely hard to follow due to heavy accent. Made the entire experience below par.

This is a great tour and makes navigating Versailles very easy! Nothing can change the large crowds but having this tour helps immensely with the navigation. We loved all the stories and history and though I was here 20 years ago, I learned so much more about the palaces and city.

If you want to see the Palace of Versaille do yourself a huge favour and book this tour with The Tour Guys. The train travel, and entry tickets are all arranged for you. Our guide Nev was fantastic and I learned heaps from her commentary. She also deftly shepareded our group through the crowds to make sure we saw the essentials. The other good thing with this tour was after seeing the inside of the Palace we were free to spend as little or as long as we wanted to wander through the sensational grounds, and then return to Paris by train when we were ready. We ended up spending three and a half hours doing that, which meant, for us, it was a great value full day tour.

If you want to see the Versailles in 2 hours or less, this is the tour to book. The journey begins at the metro station at 8.45am. We join the train at the exact time then arrive at the Versailles station around 9.15-9.20am. A short walk to the Versailles palace. Actual tour starts at 10am and over a little after 11am. The guide gives you tickets to explore the gardens and apartments (if you choose to) Overall we toured the gardens/grounds till 2pm and left on our own to the metro station as they give you the round trip tickets included in your payment. Nevena our tour guide is a PHD Historian. She was brilliant and well versed about the history and ensured we had all the info we need. She took her time to explain the history but also moved through each point efficiently. She was amazing and highly recommended. Overall a fabulous tour of the Versailles. Well worth it.

Skylar greeted us promptly at the time required. Martina was a great guide throughout the tour. She was very biased toward the Italian influence(just a joke) she was quite knowledgeable in all aspects of Versailles. We will definitely use your company again.

It is a completely full day. Our Guide, Marius, was fantastic and very fun. Be prepared to walk a lot. It was nearly 100F so some folks struggled but everyone made it ok. If you have any sort of mobility issues, small children, or little stamina, you should probably not do this. For everyone else, I highly recommend it.

Very easy travel experience from Paris to Versailles on the train. The tour of the palace is approx 90 min and then you can tour the gardens on your own. Tour guide was informative but did not cover too much information-she kept us moving and left us all interested in learning more about 1700’s France. In the gardens there are cafes with sandwiches, sorbets, coffee. Overall a great day for my family of 4 which included 2 older teens.

We had a wonderful experience touring Versailles with Véronique. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. She knew all the insider tips and helped us make the most of our visit—even navigating a late train hiccup with ease. We highly recommend her!

We had such a lovely tour with guide Melanie. Despite train delays and rain, we made it to Versailles only a little behind schedule, which was not the tour guides fault. In fact, the morning train lines were all canceled but The Tour Guy representatives made sure we knew the plan to get us to our destination and once we arrived, our tour guide Melanie did not disappoint! She really cared about her group making sure she always knew where we were on the train and tour. She explained everything about the history of the palace and artwork in great detail and all from memory! She was engaging and so sweet, even taking individual family pictures for her group in the Hall of Mirrors. This was our first Tour Guy tour but it will not be our last. Thank you, Melanie, and The Tour Guy for making our trip exceptional

Ramon was a great guide. He knew a lot and made us feel like we weren’t missing anything. Very helpful. There was a bad storm the night before and it caused some complications with travel - Ramon took it in stride and we got there seamlessly. Great tour. Amazing place to visit.
