Good to know:
Lines: This tour grants you group access to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica. While you'll bypass the long line for independent visitors, there may still be a wait to get through security.
Closures: St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings until 1:30pm, due to the Papal Audience. Tours during this time will not include basilica entry. Additionally, tours starting after 3:30pm (any day of the week) are not guaranteed entry into St. Peter’s Basilica. During state visits or special religious events, parts of the Vatican or St. Peter's Basilica may be closed unexpectedly and without much notice.
Dress Code: As the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel are deeply religious sites, everyone must cover their knees and shoulders. Guests who do not meet the dress code may be refused entry by security officials. No hats or flip flops please.
Accessibility: Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. A foldable umbrella stroller can be utilized in the Vatican Museums, but cannot be utilized through the exclusive staircase into St. Peter's Basilica. A soft baby carrier is recommended.
Please Note: The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so visitors are not allowed to speak inside the chapel. Your guide will explain what you'll see in advance.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

This was a difficult tour for me because of the crowds. The guide was knowledgeable and did a great job answering questions, despite the very crowded conditions. The tour itself was very good and it could have lasted longer because there is too much to see in 3.5 hours. It was like drinking from a fire hose! Even so, we enjoyed it and would recommend this tour.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Vatican largely due in part to Giovanni. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor too. Very much enjoyed our visit. Skip the line (and early entry) got us in ahead of the crowds. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had worked for the Vatican for many years. Her knowledge and insights were key to the experience. The direct connection to St Peter’s was a plus as again skipped a very long line. Recommended.

We had 12 on our tour with Fabrizio yesterday, and he gave us a wonderful whirlwind tour! I say that because there’s so much to see, it would take days to see it all, but he deftly maneuvered our group through the crowds, explaining the highlights and fascinating details about the key paintings, frescos, statues and more as well as the artists. We are not Catholics so his explanations also gave my husband and myself a better understanding of the history of the Catholic Church, too. You’re in good hands with Fabrizio, he’s a great tour guide, and I strongly recommend the small tour format.

Our guide, Antonia, was very well versed with facts and details of the Musei Vatacani as well as the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. She moved us along apace, but always made sure that two of us in our very small group had time to access elevators when they were available.
