My daughter (16) and I loved this tour. Meeting the tour guide was so easy and we walked right into the museum. I researched various tours extensively, but this one hit everything I wanted to see. It lived up to all of my hopes and exceeded them. We saw and had everything in the museum explained, and then walked into the Basilica and our tour guide gave a brief tour and explanation before letting us explore. I love booking with The Roman Guy and would do it again every chance I get!

Definitely worth every penny to take a small group tour at these spots! The lines to get in are so long but we entered through a fast lane. Patrizia hit the highlights and steered us to less crowded areas including an entrance into St. Peter’s that only small group or private tours use. It was informative and efficient. The tour ended inside the basilica so we could spend more time in there to go down to the grotto or climb to the cupola. Great tour & guide!

He was good. He’s obviously an art historian who knew his stuff. But in all honesty, we were all about seeing the Sistine chapel and the Basilica so there was way too much time spent on the Vatican museum. That being said, we should’ve realized that was gonna happen with a three hour tour.

Millica made our small group tour entertaining and educational. She has a small stature but had no fear with crowds and was able to get us to the front of the large groups when she felt it was important for a picture or to see certain exhibits. Every area we toured was crowded and I’m glad we did the semi private tour for that reason. The only short line we waited in was for the security check. I would definitely recommend this tour as we learned a lot!
