Meet your private guide at the top of the staircase near Caffé Vaticano. Receive a brief introduction to the evening’s route before using your timed-entry tickets to enter the world-renowned Vatican Museums as the daytime rush subsides.
Stroll through the Pinecone Courtyard
Explore this massive outdoor space designed by Donato Bramante, named for its towering bronze pinecone. Stand in the center of the courtyard to admire the scale of the Vatican architecture and catch a clear, unobstructed view of the massive St. Peter’s Dome.
Visit the Pio-Clementino Collection
Then, enter the heart of the museum’s ancient art collection to see the legendary Laocoön and His Sons. Learn how these Hellenistic sculptures influenced Renaissance masters while viewing Nero’s enormous porphyry bathtub, carved from a single piece of rare red volcanic stone.
Walk the ornate Vatican Galleries

Good to know:
Dress Code: As the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel are deeply religious sites, everyone must cover their knees and shoulders. Guests who do not meet the dress code may be refused entry by security officials. No hats or flip flops please.
Accessibility: As this is a private tour, the itinerary can be accommodated to be wheelchair or mobility accessible. Please reach out to us, after making the booking, to make the proper arrangements.
Lines: This tour grants you group access to the Vatican Museums. While you'll bypass the long line for independent visitors, there may still be a wait to get through security.
Bag Policy: Camera tripods and large backpacks are not allowed in the museums, so please leave them at your hotel.
Please note: Entrance to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included in this tour. You will, however, enjoy views of the illuminated dome from the museum courtyards. The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so visitors are not allowed to speak inside the chapel. Your guide will explain what you'll see in advance and provide you with a map or handout for reference before you enter.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

I was left speechless by an absolutely flawless tour of the Vatican Museums today! Silvia was incredibly knowledgeable about absolutely everything we encountered, and she really brought the history of the museums and works of art within to life. I learned a lot and felt like we went at a really nice pace (not too fast, not too slow). The timing was excellent as well; I was really able to enjoy my time in the Sistine Chapel and will forever be grateful that I was able to hear what it sounds like with only a handful of people inside. Remarkable experience, and I will certainly recommend this tour to anyone like me who has limited time and did not want to feel crushed by the crowds at the peak of summertime. Thank you, Silvia!!!

We really enjoyed our tour with Fabrizio. He was very accommodating with our group that had some mobility issues. We were glad we went in the evening when it was less crowded. Would love to have another tour guide like Fabrizio.

We had a great time with Ele, she clearly loves this space and loves sharing her knowledge about it. We had such a great in depth tour, though it was still a bit crowded at the end of the day but that is no fault of hers. Lovely company, lovely tour!

My husband and I booked this tour as our first experience through the Vatican Museums and I am so glad we did. Our tour guide told us stories and interesting facts about so many of the pieces. Her love of the art and knowledge of the history was obvious. She kept our pace and answered all of our questions. When we arrived in the Sistine Chapel, we already knew what we were looking at and she gave us the privacy and space to take it all in. I can’t wait to go back!

Words cannot express how great this tour was. We were the only ones in the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Our guide was fantastic and really gave us all wonderful details. Being in the Sistine Chapel and getting to see the frescos you have learned and read about for so long with your own eyes is something to behold. No rushing or crowds. Highly recommend this tour!!! Worth every cent.

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel at closing time. Our guide, Elenora, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, energetic and simply delightful. She skillfully navigated us thru all the crowds. The overview she gave of the museum complex using a model and of individual Chapel paintings preceding actual viewing was extremely helpful in tying the entire experience together. Highly recommend!

This tour icovers the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. The Museum is ginormous and having a guide helps you find the art pieces that are the most interesting to you. Our guide showed is some very interesting areas of the museum in addition to some areas along the way to the Sistine Chapel. The tour is you and your guide but there are quite a few people at the museum. Great time with our guide who made the difference between a good tour and a great tour. She was great!
