Our guide Lia was a fountain of knowledge and enthusiasm. She met us on time and kept our private tour moving at a good pace throughout the day so that we got a chance to see all of the sites that we had told her we were interested in. Her knowledge and vast experience shone through in her detailed descriptions of the history, culture, and art that the Vatican is packed with. Having Lia with us to answer questions, navigate the crowds through secret shortcuts, and point out hidden treasures made our Vatican experience one we will never forget! Our tour guides, Elizabeth, was AMAZING!!! Very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about her history and sharing with others. We booked 2 tours through the tour guy and the guides were BOTH amazing!!! I'll definitely use them for all our future travels.

Our group of 17, thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Vatican City despite the huge crowds this was mainly because our guide Ella, was better than one could hope for. Ella was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient. One our group members was not feeling well and Ella took the time to make sure they were as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend the Tour Guy for your next adventure and I would hope you're as fortunate as we were to have Ella as your guide.

It was an extremely crowded and hot day to visit St Peter’s and Vatican museum. Our guide was wonderful in navigating us through crowds, knowledgeable about the history and meaning of sites, and catered to our needs despite things out of her control. Our tour started at 7:15am on August 1st, due to the large crowd, took 1.5 hrs to get through security, no skip the lines at St Peters Basilica, and there was another line once inside for ticket line to climb the dome. Our guide made the wait time go by faster by educating us on the history of the Vatican. She helped navigate the crowd and was on point in directing us and finding routes to make the most of our time. So glad we booked the private tour!

I cannot say enough good things about our guide, Attilia. She was able to expertly move us through lines, the Basilica, more lines, crowds, the Vatican Museum, even more lines and bigger crowds, and then the Sistine Chapel… all while providing expert commentary and fascinating insights. Attilia immediately felt like a family friend; our experience was an absolutely unforgettable delight thanks to her. Navigating through the confusing lines, crowds, and buildings with no idea where we were going would’ve been overwhelming and frustrating. Thanks to Attilia, we were able to see everything on our must-see list and so much more. Grazie mille, Attilia and Tour Guy!

The private tour with Rafa offered a chance for us to have a conversation in real time as she pointed out items of interest to us or we noticed them on our own. It also made getting up close to artifacts and views very easy and quick. Rafa was incredibly lovely and very knowledgeable!

Appreciated Maria’s depth of knowledge. Learned so much from her. We miscalculated how long the tour would be but she went above and beyond to make sure we make it to see the Sistine Chapel and to a taxi to be on our way. Her passion for the history was very apparent. It was an amazing tour. Definitely worth it. Wish we could do another tour with her again.

We truly loved our private Vatican tour. Valentina was an extraordinary, patient, fascinating, brilliant guide, allowing us to see what we wanted and making it interesting for both kids and adults. And The Tour Guy was a great service from beginning to end - easy to sign up, lots of interactions over WhatsApp ahead of time, and easy to follow directions once it was tour day. Can't recommend Valentina or The Tour Guy enough. Grazie mille!

We had an amazing tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and climb of the Dome. The crowds at Sistine Chapel were crazy. I wish we had been able to access it first in order to avoid the masses, but other than that, it was an incredible tour. Lots of fantastic information about the Vatican, the chapel, and Rome. Definitely recommend

The Vatican is an amazing place as it is. We knew we wanted to not only see it but learn from our visit. Our guide, Giovanni was amazing. He was a fountain of knowledge and information. He made our experience as a family so much more enjoyable and helped us truly appreciate what we were seeing. I would recommend this tour and our guide 20/10.

Our guide, Melina, was outstanding!! It was a 5 hour tour yet it seemed like it just started when it ended. Her depth of knowledge is staggering. I only wish we had headsets because sometimes my focus was on a painting or sculpture and I would miss something she said. We could have kept going for the entire day, she was that fantastic. In addition, her suggestions for gelato, coffee and dinner were all 10/10. Grazie!!
