Good to know:
Dress Code: We ask both men and women to cover knees and shoulders, otherwise security might refuse entry to religious sites and you’ll miss out on a portion of your tour. We understand the summers in Milan can be hot, so a great alternative is to bring a shawl/scarf/sweater with you. Sports club t-shirts are not allowed at the Duomo.
Bag Policy: Large bags, and glass objects are prohibited at the Duomo.
Accessibility: Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair accessible as it involves stairs to the terraces.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

Milan Duomo - fantastic!

We booked a regular tour of the Milan Duomo, but got a surprise private tour with Marllena. She was fantastic! My husband has a small fear of heights/vertigo (yes, not really the tour for him, but he did it anyway) and Marllena catered to his needs the whole time, moving to areas on the terrace that were more comfort for him and giving him tips on how to enjoy the view without feeling like he might fall off of it. She was also extremely knowledgeable about the architecture and the art inside the Duomo. Her stories came to life and she answered all our questions throughout the visit. Because we were her only customers we started the tour early, which was quite helpful for us to return to the train station back to Florence where we were staying. While I wouldn’t have minded being on the terraces a little longer through sunset, this tour of the terraces was exactly the right length for my husband and he appreciated the climb down the stairs. I would definitely recommend this fantastic experience and hope that anyone who experiences this gets Marllena as a guide.

Expert guide who provided excellent historical, religious, art and architectural context to a detailed tour of the Duomo and Terraces. We never felt rushed and he allowed time at the roofline to take photos and explore it. Fantastic tour and highly recommend.

We had Georgio from Italy hidden tours, he was amazing! So knowledgeable of the cathedral and also the buildings surrounding it. We would have missed so much of it without him. He had lots of stories and the history was fascinating. So glad we did the tour! Thank you Georgio!
