This was an awesome tour. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about art, architecture, and history. This was a really nice way to spend an afternoon and get an overview of Milan and its top sites.

The tour began badly as there was no one with the City Tours sign outside the coffee shop meeting point at the start time. I called the 888 number and, after a lot of menu selections, finally reached a real person. Just at that time, we saw a woman holding a sign with our name on it so we made the connection with our guide, Lucia, just a few minutes late. Unfortunately, when she reviewed the tour plan, it did not include entry to La Scala Theater, only walk by. However, one of the two reasons we booked this particular tour was to go into La Scala. Lucia called the company and I did as well. After some waiting, my ‘help’ representative told me she could not resolve the lack of La Scala entry tickets even though she acknowledged the entry was supposed to be included per the tour description. She suggested I try to get a partial refund—not helpful at this point. So we headed off to our first stop which was to go up to the Duomo Cathedral’s terraces. While waiting (Skip the Line tickets didn’t work!!) Lucia decided she would just buy the La Scala tickets herself and hope to get reimbursed (please do that TourGuy!). When we reached the terraces, Lucia hit her stride! She had so many fascinating stories and details to share. If you don’t go to the terraces, you can’t get a proper perspective on this incredible church. Knowing we had already visited several of this tour’s planned stops during a previous tour, Lucia too us instead to a small church near the Duomo. Besides Lucia’s wonderful stories about the church, seeing the use of perspective was awe inspiring. From the back, the altar appears to recede 15-20 feet but coming close you see the depth is but a few feet and the columns and paintings were made smaller and smaller toward the rear to give a perception of great depth—fascinating. From the Mrs it was off to La Scala where Lucia did purchase the tickets. Once inside Lucia passed on so much incredible history, not just of the building but of the people who performed or managed there. After taking in the main hall, Lucia took us through the museum where she shared more stories about the people as well as the artifacts there. Again, this tour started on the wrong foot but the tour turned out very wonderfully thanks to our tour guide, Lucia— she was a amazing source of knowledge and wit, and truly made the trip the highlight of our Italian vacation —5 stars ***** for Lucia!!

Fadia was our guide and she was absolutely marvelous. Extensive knowledge of every aspect of the tour, especially the Duomo where she pointed out incredible details. Afterwards, the walk by various landmarks and buildings was fascinating. Then the highlight of the tour was getting 15 minutes to view DaVinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper — truly a surreal experience. Well worth the time and money and, again, Fadia made the sights come alive with her in-depth, and often witty, descriptive talks.

We are frequent travelers and have taken many tours over the years. This is one of the best. Daniela was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and open to any and all questions. Thank you for such a great walking tour..

Worth the money to see it all. Angela was a super host and provided a lot of insight along the way. It’s a long day for sure but so much is seen. Next time will do a shorter tour with more time to spend roaming in the cities.

June 2025: ahhhmazing tour guide, Maria Elena! She was a wealth of information, but her passion for art and art history was infectious. I expected to see the opera house and its glory, but Maria Elena far exceeded expectations. She was a joy, perfect English, and provided extra details that made this experience a complete pleasure. You don’t have to like or love opera or theater to appreciate this tour. If you like history and architecture, this experience provides that too. Totally worth it and hopefully, you’ll have Maria Elena as your guide!

Very knowledgeable and kind guide. The Brera is a huge gallery and we covered several centuries of masterful Italian painters. My husband and I feel the neighborhood part of the tour is not necessary, though it was enjoyable. Also, we were upstairs at the entrance to the gallery as indicated on the instructions. The Tour Guy people on the phone were very helpful and we located our guide outside the Brera courtyard.

Great tour of the highlights of Milan

Ms. Nadia was an exceptional tour guide! Booking this tour was the best choice; we had priority seating on trains and ferries, ensuring we had the best views. The setting is breathtaking; no pictures do it justice! The tour itself was informative, fun and we even had great weather. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had an excellent experience on this tour. Our guides handled all the administrative details, and were so knowledgable about the masterpieces we were seeing. In our walk through the historical district of Milan, Joseph provided us with important historical context, and we stopped along the route to learn more about many iconic buildings and points of interest. I’ve taken a few cooking classes while traveling, but this one stood out. Being welcomed into a local home made it feel special, and the small group made it super interactive. I learned so much about Italian food culture, and the pizza we made was honestly better than in some restaurants. Plus, I now make tiramisù like a pro!

This was by far the highlight of our trip to Como. Our host made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. Making pizza from scratch was so fun—and surprisingly doable with her guidance! The tiramisù was out of this world. Such a cozy, authentic experience that I’d recommend to anyone wanting a real slice of Italian life.

Great tour, we enjoyed the other sights such as the castle and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Our guide Maria was friendly and knowledgeable, and the use of the Ipad to show more information was really helpful. I would recommend this tour or other tours to anyone visiting Milan.

If you’re looking for a peaceful and exclusive way to explore Lake Como, this is it! The small group made the tour feel personal, and the boat was comfortable with great views in every direction. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and the prosecco was the perfect touch. An unforgettable experience!

This boat tour was an absolute highlight of our trip! With only six guests, it felt incredibly private and relaxing. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the villas and the history of the lake, making the journey even more enjoyable. Sipping prosecco while gliding across the water was pure magic. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and luxurious way to experience Lake Como!

Boris was a good driver and commenter, but the tour description did not show a picture of the boat or mention its attributes - very small and very open! It was a chilly day with a chance of rain. Knowing this we expected a boat with a cover for some protection in case of rain. This boat had none. Fortunately it did not rain during our 1 hour ride. On a sunny warm day, this might be ok. We did stop at 30 minutes to enjoy a glass of Prosecco, but there was no “local treat” for a snack as advertised. For $65 per person, we expected more than we got.

I booked this tour through The Tour Guy and it was really great. I was concerned there were no reviews, but turns out this is run by a local tour company and they have been running it for years. Such a great experience. I mean, its really hard to screw up such amazing views but honestly they did a really good job. I have been recommending this to everyone. Thanks!
