Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, this is where the fabled Delphic Oracle priestess Pythia delivered messages from the god Apollo.</p><p>It became one of the most influential oracles in the Greek world between the sixth and fourth centuries BC. Remains of the Temple of Apollo have been excavated along with other significant monuments including the Athenian Stoa, the Treasury of the Athenians, and the Polygonal Wall.</p><p>After exploring the archaeological site, you'll enter the fascinating Delphi Museum to see some of the world-famous artifacts recovered over the years. Gaze in awe as ancient relics including Naxian Sphinx, the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the bronze Charioteer, and the statue of Antinous.</p><h3>The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia</h3><p>Around half a mile from the main site at Delphi lies the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. The beautiful circular sanctuary (or <em>tholos</em>) was dedicated to the goddess Athena, and along with a small cluster of other structures it was thought to have served as the gateway to Delphi. Your guide will lead around the highlights of this incredible site where columns still stand almost 2,500 years after they were constructed.</p><h3>Explore the Mountain Village of Arachova</h3><p>Wave goodbye to ancient Greece as you driver transports you to the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Your time here is free to do as you wish. Stroll through narrow cobbled alleys, visit local artisan shops, or find a quiet spot to sit and enjoy those wonderful mountain views.
