We had an incredible time on this tour with Demetria - she knew the Athens food scene like the back of her hand. Even though we had already been in the city for a few days, we were introduced to a whole new range of flavors, foods, and locations. We really felt like we got a locals' taste of Athens - from the freddo espresso to the cream pie, and the amazing mezze at a local taverna. It all gave us an in-depth feel for the city, the culture, and the Athenian people.

This was a fabulous food tour, led by Alexandra. She was a wonderful, informative caring guide who looked after all of us very well. The range of places we visited gave a great overview of local food. It was a LOT of Food - but everything tasted great and fortunately we did enough walking that some if was worked off....but not all. Alex provided a wealth of knowledge about local customs and favorite foods. We learned about local coffee, cheeses, olives, pie (savory and sweet), taverna group dining, gyros (at a very popular local place visited by Gordon Ramsay and friends) and finally the most awesome little pastry puffs topped with 3 different sauces - pistachio, chocolate, or honey with cinammon - all quite wonderful. We had a lot of fun along the way and I would highly recommend this tour - and do it at the start of your time in Athens - so you can enjoy the local food even more!

It was amazing! Best way to enjoy and learn about the local cuisine! Our guide was very nice and informative! Tons of food included in the total price...so it was very worth every cent! Will definitely be using TheTourGuy again and referring friends and family!

Our guide Tonya was attentive to each guest. Mixed humor with history and culture perfectly. Tonya had each stop prepared with the shops and restaurants, food and seats waiting our arrival. One of the best tour experiences our family has ever had. Cheers.

Dmitiria took us to places off the beaten path that included a taverna, souvelaki, charcuterie, the food market, and ended with loukoumades. She spoke to us about her Greek heritage and experience with food and shared interesting foods and stories. The group got along well and we enjoyed each other's company. She was kind and sensitive to our individual experiences. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went on this food tour while staying in Athens. I must say it exceeded our expectations. Dimitra, our guide, was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable in the local Greek food and did a great job of explaining the different types of food that was being served to us. We stopped at three different restaurants for various courses throughout this tour. Dimitra brought us to places that other Food Tours did not go to and she knew the owners of the restaurants at each stop. We even stopped at a local place to get a Gyros to take out for later that night, after the tour. Extra bonus is that she brought us through the local fish and meat market. Most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this tour and would request Dimitra as your guide.

My granddaughter and I had the Best Tour Guide in Athens, Nadros (spelled name wrong). He took the time to explain all aspects of the local food in Athens. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and Nadros. You will not be disappointed!

Anna, our tour guide, was funny and knowledgeable about greek culture and food. We had many tasty snacks, drinks and a couple proper meals. We couldn't even eat our gyro in the end, so we took it home. Definitely give the tour a shot to get a better understanding of greek food, while walking around!

First thing- make sure not to eat before your tour! You'll want to be as hungry as possible because you're going to try so many local specialities and you'll want to enjoy all of them. Our guide, Andreas, was phenomenal. We walked all over the neighborhood stopping in at different restaurants, bakeries, etc. We even go to tour the local meat and fish markets. Get out of your comfort and make sure to try everything even if you think you don't like certain foods. I don't drink coffee but I definitely tried the Greek coffee at our bakery stop with the yummy Greek donuts. You've got to eat anyway so you might as well do it with an expert taking you around to all the best places and dishes!

Our guide Dora was amazing. She remembered all our names, where we are from, as well food preferences. Includes wine, olive oil, and vinegar tastings. Interesting art and graffiti on the walk as well. Family with teens through seniors. Our favorite tour of trip. Thank you!

Wonderful 4 hours of seeing, tasting and enjoying a great range of Greek foods and drinks. I particularly liked the meat market. Our guide was excellent, very warm and friendly, engaging with us all.

The variety of food and drink was amazing. The pace was casual. Who knew you could spend four hours walking, eating, and drinking. This is one of the best ways to see a city and learn of the culture by doing a food tour. Our guide, Pascor, knew his stuff. Excellent in every way, and well worth the cost.
