Itinerary

Meet your guide and gear up at the bike shop

Meet your guide steps from the Acropolis metro and grab your e-bike and helmet. After a quick safety briefing, you'll roll out into the heart of Athens, where ancient ruins and modern city life exist side by side.

Pedal past the Panathenaic Stadium and Zappeion Hall

Glide beside the gleaming marble stadium that hosted the first modern Olympics in 1896. Just beyond it, Zappeion Hall rises with its neoclassical columns, a venue that's hosted everything from 19th-century exhibitions to modern political summits.

Watch the Presidential Guards change shifts

Pull up outside the Presidential Mansion to catch the evzones guards in their pleated kilts and pom-pom shoes. Their slow, synchronized march honors Greece's fight for independence, and the precision of each step makes this five-minute ceremony worth the pause.

Ride through Thission with the Acropolis towering above

Drop down a pedestrian path into Thission, where locals nurse freddo espressos at sidewalk tables beneath the Acropolis. You'll roll past the Ancient Agora, the 2,500-year-old marketplace where Socrates once debated and Athenian democracy was born.

Explore the Plaka neighborhood and Athens Cathedral

Wind through Plaka's narrow cobblestone lanes packed with souvenir stalls and tavernas blasting bouzouki music. You'll stop at the Athens Cathedral, the city's largest Orthodox church, where gold icons shimmer under chandeliers and incense fills the air.

Snap photos at the Temple of Olympian Zeus

Coast to a stop in front of Zeus's temple, where 15 surviving columns tower 17 meters overhead. Construction dragged on for 700 years, and the completed temple once held a colossal gold statue. Hadrian's Arch stands nearby, the Roman emperor's grand entrance.

Climb the Acropolis with your licensed guide

Head back to the shop, swap your bike for walking shoes, and meet your licensed guide for the Acropolis ascent. You'll pass the Theatre of Dionysus, birthplace of Greek drama, and the Roman-era Odeon as you climb the ancient processional path.

Stand before the Parthenon at the summit

At the top, the Parthenon dominates the skyline, its Doric columns still standing after 2,500 years. Your guide points out the friezes depicting Athena's birth and explains how this marble temple became the blueprint for Western architecture.

Finish the tour with a return to the Bike shop

Walk back down to the bike shop, where your tour wraps up with views of the city stretching to the sea. You'll leave knowing how the ancient Athenians shaped the world and how their legacy still pulses through modern Athens.
