Your tour begins at the Queen Anne Statue
Meet your private guide beside the Queen Anne Statue at the West Entrance of St. Paul's Cathedral. Then, use your timed entry tickets to head straight inside, where your guide sets the scene for Sir Christopher Wren's 17th-century masterpiece.
Step into Wren's towering nave
Inside, the nave opens up beneath towering columns and intricate carvings. Your guide explains how Wren rebuilt the cathedral after the Great Fire of 1666, and how it survived the bombing raids of the Blitz.
Admire the mosaics above the high altar
Glittering mosaics cover the ceilings above the high altar, illustrating biblical scenes in gold and glass. Rebuilt after World War II, the altar anchors the space directly beneath the cathedral's vast dome.
Climb to the Whispering Gallery

Accessibility: As this is a private tour, the itinerary can be adapted to your needs. Please note the dome galleries are reached only by stairs, with no lift alternative, though the rest of the cathedral can be explored without the climb. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your mobility.
Dome Climb: The climb to the Stone and Golden Galleries is optional. Let your guide know at the start if you'd like to include it, and they'll shape the pacing of your tour around it.
Sunday Visits: St. Paul's Cathedral is closed to sightseeing on Sundays, so tours that day focus on the exterior and the Square Mile walk. Your guide will confirm the plan with you in advance.
Bag Policy: Large backpacks, suitcases, and wheeled bags are not permitted inside the cathedral, so please leave them at your accommodation. All bags are subject to security screening on entry.
ID Requirement: Please bring a valid government-issued ID, as it may be requested at the cathedral entrance.
Dress Code: There's no strict dress code at St. Paul's, but comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended for the galleries and the Square Mile walk.

An Unforgettable Deep Dive into London History!

We booked a private tour of St. Paul’s Cathedral and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Ben, was absolutely fantastic—incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and paced the tour perfectly. While the entire cathedral is stunning, two parts really stood out: The Crypt: Ben brought the history to life down here. Seeing the resting places of Nelson and Wellington felt so much more impactful with his storytelling. The Dome Climb: Taking the stairs all the way to the top was a challenge, but Ben made the journey interesting. The views from the galleries are the best in London! If you want to see St. Paul’s properly, ask for Ben. Having a private expert makes all the difference in appreciating the scale and detail of this iconic place. Highly recommended!

St Paul's was absolutely stunning and as we had pre booked first we were able to bypass the long line. Our guide Ben was so informative and entertaining.
