Good to know:
Accessibility: As this is a private tour, the itinerary can be accommodated to be wheelchair or mobility accessible. Please contact us, after making the booking, to make the proper arrangements.
Guiding Restrictions: Per official Tower of London regulations, your private guide is not permitted to speak or lead tours inside the Jewel House or the White Tower. To maximize your experience, your guide will provide a full historical briefing and highlight what to look for before you enter these buildings to explore at your own pace.
Changing of the Guard: The full ceremony at Buckingham Palace typically occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and daily in June and July. On other days, a smaller "Captain’s Inspection" takes place at 3pm; your guide will adjust the walking route to ensure you see the best available military display.
Please note: The itinerary of a private tour can be adjusted to your needs. Please reach out if you do not see a start time that fits for your party. We would be happy to check with our ticketing team to see if we can accommodate you.
Dress Code: Comfortable attire and flat walking shoes are recommended as this tour covers significant distances on foot.

This was our FIRST time abroad to London. Our Tour Guide was PENNY. She was fantastic. She knew everything about London and then some. She had some great stories to tell; some were very humorous bur most were very historically correct. She provided advance tickets to the ABBEY, boat ride down the Thames, and the Crown Jewels. Penny was very knowledgeable about Westminster Abbey, the Crown Jewels, and the Tower of London. We only spent 3 days in London, and she spent 7 hours with us. She felt like "family" after the tour was completed. We highly recommend Penny and The Tour Guy for anyone traveling to London. I give Penny 10 stars ***********

I wish I could give this tour 10 stars! What a way to see the best of London! Frances was an amazing guide! She is so knowledgeable - not to mention super intuitive and kind. If you want to see the best of London, this is the way to go and Frances is the person for the job. What makes this tour so special is the education that comes with it - Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London were huge highlights because Frances’s knowledge of the details about all who are buried at/commemorated at the Abbey. The extra details we learned about the Tower of London were equally incredible. One of the best tours we have taken to date.
